⇸ |17| two truths, one lie
The group of five sat sprawled out across the grass, Alice leaning back on her hands with Frank's head upon her lap, Mathias sat to the left of the couple the bottle of firewhiskey once again securely locked within his grip after Narcissa had taken a few swigs. She could tell the boy was tense, not that she could blame him. They all were, afterall. As for Narcissa and Cathal, they sat across from Alice and Frank, they're legs crossed and shoulders occasionally brushing. It brought a comfort to Narcissa, the feather light touches as she felt rather uncomfortable in the atmosphere that settled like a thick cloud over the five teens. No one quite seemed to want to be the one that broke the silence.
Finally, having enough Narcissa let a playful smile slip upon her lips as she sighed, "I didn't know Gryffindors could be so bloody quiet," she teased lightly causing the others eyes to widen in surprise.
"You and me both," Alice laughed, a twinkle in her eyes, "I don't think I've ever heard these three shut their mouths for more than two seconds."
Narcissa laughed at the protests that erupted from the three boys, watching as Mathias passed the bottle towards Frank a cheeky smile settling upon his face, "Alright, Longbottom?"
Narcissa could tell Frank was beginning to reach his limit from the droopy smile on his lips and hazy look in his eyes, "Wonderful, mate." He replied, before taking yet another swig.
Narcissa felt her stomach flutter as Cathals hand found hers in the grass, his fingers brushing lightly against her own before he leaned forward towards the group a bit, "How 'bout we play a game?"
"Two truths, one lie?" Alice suggested thoughtfully causing Narcissa to furrow her brows in confusion.
"What's that?" She asked skeptically, immediately finding the eyes of everyone else on her in shock.
"You've never played?" Mathias asked as if she had personally offended him, "it's basically a right of passage, Black."
Shrugging Narcissa fought the blush that was attacking her cheeks, "I mean, muggle games weren't exactly a hit in my home."
That caused the quartet to sober up and Narcissa noticed no one was quite meeting her gaze so she quickly added, "I'd love to learn though."
She received some smiles at this before Cathal clapped his hands drawing the attention back to himself, "Then it's settled, two truths one lie it is. So here's how you play, love," Narcissa blushed at that, ignoring the way Alice nudged Frank with a massive grin on her face, "basically, you tell the group two truths and one lie about yourself and we all have to guess which one the lie is."
