Chapter Three

Hope POV
Even though last night was hectic, it feels good to be back at school. This morning I signed all the papers I needed to enroll and signed Sage up for daycare, she loves being able to see Lizzie all the time and she even played with and talked to Caroline earlier. I also was assigned a conjoined room, which is two rooms joined together by the bathroom. My side has a king bed for when Sage sleeps with me, which she does a lot, plus Lizzie will probably be spending nights with us sometimes. I haven't seen nor talked to Josie and Penelope since last night which I'm not surprised by. Right now I'm at lunch with Lizzie and Sage, Lizzie is introducing me to her friends and boyfriend. MG is just as sweet as Lizzie said he'd be, Raf and Jed are really funny, Kaleb is already protective seeing as a guy tried talking to me and he scared him off, Landon is really dopey and sweet, Maya was really cool and so pretty- I mean hot- I mean nice!

"Mommy can we go see the garden noww?" Sage asked with puppy eyes, everyone at the table awed while I chuckled.

"Sure let's go princess. Bye guys, it was nice meeting you." I announced as we stood up, they all waved goodbye while Sage and I walked off holding hands. Before we got too far I felt someone grab my arm softly, Maya.

"Hey, I was wondering if I could join you guys and we could talk more." she asked with a hopeful smile, I smiled back and nodded.

"Yeah, that's sounds nice." I said and she smiled even bigger dipping her head.

"Maya! Hold my hand so I can swing!" Sage said grabbing Maya's hand before she could answer, we all laughed and walked outside. Once we made it to the garden Sage started looking at the flowers and I knew exactly what she was looking for.

"Daisies!" she exclaimed before picking a few and walking back over to us. Maya and I crouched down looking at the flowers she had.

"Here mommy this one is for you and this one is for Nanny Care." she said handing me two flowers, I cooed at her cuteness. Daisies are one of my favorite flowers.

"I'm sure she'll love it." Maya told her since I was too busy cooing, Sage giggled.

"Thanks Maya, what's your flower?" she asked sweetly wondering what Maya's favorite flower is, Maya laughed before putting a thinking face on.

"Hmmm, I really like tulips." said causing Sage's eyes to sparkle, I smiled at the interaction.

"Mine too! 'Specially pinks!" she exclaimed before going look for them, leaving Maya and I alone.

"So I'm guessing she really loves flowers?" Maya questioned looking at me, I nodded my head.

"Absolutely, she has a garden back home and she loves helping me and my aunt make elixirs. She calls garden knomes her friends." I started rambling and Maya just watched with a smile, my cheeks started heating up.

"I'm rambling aren't I?" I asked with a nervous smile, she chuckled and walked a bit closer. Get it together Hope!

"Yes but I'm enjoying it so continue." she answered sweetly, so I did continue and we talked for a while before looking back at Sage.

"She's so cute." Maya said watching Sage run through the garden.

"The cutest, although I may be biased because I gave birth to her." I joked causing Maya to laugh and I joined.

"Yeah well cuteness definitely runs in her genes." Maya complemented, I blushed with small smile on my face. Before I could answer someone grabbed our attention.

"Aww Machado you're making me blush, though you're not really my type." Penelope announced walking up to us, Maya looked at her confused. Horrible timing.
