Hope POV
The past two days have been pretty noneventful. Everyone has been doing their own thing while in the city, except for Josie and Penelope. They haven't left Sage's side since after our talk, I kind of feel bad for Jade since she's just been moping around the house. Like right now I'm in the kitchen making lunch and Jade is walking past looking miserable."Hey, what's got you so down?" I asked grabbing her attention, she sighed before sitting at the counter.
"I don't want to sound selfish but I wish Josie and Penelope would pay a little attention to me. We've been here two days and the only time I spend with them is when it's time for bed, I love that they're happier now but it still hurts." she confessed looking defeated, I pursed my lips together before walking next to her.
"I'm sorry, I definitely know the feeling so how about you and I spend the day together. I can take you to my favorite pastry shop and then we go shopping." I offered since I have nothing to do today and everyone else is already out shopping. Jade actually smiled for the first time since she's been here.
"Really?! I don't want to be a burden." she asked making sure I was serious, I nodded my head with a smile and she squealed before hugging me.
"Okay I'll go get dressed!" she said before vamping out of the room, I chuckled at her excitement. Once she left I finished making sandwiches and was plating them.
"Mommy!" I heard Sage yell from her playroom, I grabbed the plate of sandwiches and went to the little one."Yes princess?" I announced causing her to smile and take the plate of food out of my hands.
"Let me help mommy, I'mma big girl." she said placing the food on the table, I looked at her then noticed Penelope and Josie weren't in here. Where are they?
"So are you having fun with your mommas?" I asked crouching down to her height, she nodded her head rapidly with a huge smile.
"Uh-huh, right now we're playin' hide and seek." she explained, I smiled at her happiness. This is all I ever wanted for her.
"Kiddoo, what are you doing? We've been hiding- oh hey Hope." Josie said as she walked in the room, I smiled at her and nodded. We haven't really talked since the other night.
"Hey, I just came in to give you guys some lunch. I'm actually heading out with Jade to go shopping." I announced, apparently Josie doesn't like the news.
"Why?" Josie asked harshly, I looked down at Sage because I don't want to argue in front of her.
"Are you and momma tryin' to have a big people talk?" Sage asked noticing the mood change, I nodded my head. She gave me a hug and walked away.
"I'll go find ma then, she can play with me." the little one said as she walked out, she stopped next to Josie and started whispering.
Josie POV
"Be nice momma, no yelling." Sage whispered in my ear before kissing my cheek and left the room, leaving Hope and I alone. She put a silencing spell on the door then looked at me confused."Is there a problem with me spending time with Jade?" Hope asked folding her arms, for some reason that upset me. She's ours, not Jade's! Reclaim her!
"Josie- your eyes are gold." she announced walking towards me, my breathing started picking up once we made eye contact.
"Why? Why do you want to be with everyone but Penelope and I?" I asked sadly, Hope walked closer and hugged me. We stood there in each other's arms then looked up at me.
"One, I'm only hanging out with Jade because I can see how lonely she is. Two, because the only good thing that came out of our last relationship was Sage and a few good memories. We may be soulmates but we aren't good for each other-" Hope was trying to explain but Penelope walked in.
