Hope POV
It's been a week since Josie's been back and tomorrow is the twins' birthday. The kids are all adjusting differently to Josie being around; JJ loves having her around, Willow basically ignores her and Sage is....polite. Maya ended up coming back to the house two days ago to break up with Penelope and I which was definitely for the best, I know deep down Maya knew we'd never love her enough. Penelope still works most of the time leaving me with the kids alone unless Josie's there and I've been letting Cleo take on more creative responsibilities at the gallery to balance my time and priorities. Now I'm heading to lunch with Lizzie and Landon.

"Oh my god, is that the Hope Mikaelson?" someone announced and I already knew who it was so I turned around with a bright smile to see my curly haired best friend. He's such a dork.

"Oh my god, is that the Landon Kirby?" I mocked and he let out an amused laugh as he pulled me into a hug.

"How have you been?" I asked pulling away from the hug and sitting at our table.

"I've been better but I'm not complaining. How's my godchild?" he asked and I playfully rolled my eyes at his question. He's literally obsessed with my kid.

"You know I have two other kids right?" I teased and he waved his hand at me making a duh face.

"Yeah but Jade and I are only circumstantially responsible for JJ. The other two are Jed, Cleo, Rebekah and Marcel's problems." he explained and I laughed at his reasoning knowing damn well if it came down to it Lizzie was getting all of the kids.

"Whatever JJ is perfectly healthy and happy, definitely loves being the center of attention and making noise." I answered reminiscing how when I left out the house both the twins were crying because I was leaving without them but JJ was much louder.

"Oh then he's going to loveee his birthday present, same goes for Willy." he said with smug smile and I rolled my eyes at the nickname he used. He knows damn well I hate that nickname.

"Out of all the nicknames you could've chosen for my daughter you picked a whale's name." I scolded him but he nodded proudly.

"And she loves it-" he defended but was cut off by my blonde best friend.

"Liess!" Lizzie stated as she sat down sending Landon and I into laughs.

"You don't even know what we're talking about Elizabeth." Landon challenged in an amused tone and Lizzie shrugged calmly.

"Don't need to, I just know you're wrong." Lizzie stated matter of factly and Landon rolled his eyes playfully. Somethings will never change and this dynamic is one of them.

"How the hell are you Saltzman?" Landon asked bringing Lizzie into a hug that she reciprocated.

"It's me Mophead, I'm obviously thriving." Lizzie answered with a proud smile causing all of us to laugh. I wonder if MG found the ring yet?

"Of course, how could I ask such a thing?" Landon played along as they sat down at the table looking at the menus.

"Are we doing mimosas? There's a special." Landon asked as if we don't drink every time we have brunch.

"When have we not consumed alcohol during brunch?" Lizzie asked with a raised eyebrow, Landon nodded his head realizing how dumb the question was. He's been gone a few months and already forgot the weekly routine.

"Anyways how's Wade?" I asked trying to get details about Landon's latest boyfriend and he immediately smiled at the thought.

"He's great, our trip to Denver really gave us the time we needed away from the city." Landon answered with a goofy smile but Lizzie scoffed folding her arms.
