"No." fourteen-year-old Sage Mikaelson said before shutting her locker and leaning against it as she watched her best friend continue to get the rest of her books.

"C'monnnn Blue, it's our first school dance and you're saying no?!" fifteen-year-old Remi Bennett asked not believing her ears at the moment, the two girls have been arguing about dance preparations for weeks now

"C'monnnn Blue, it's our first school dance and you're saying no?!" fifteen-year-old Remi Bennett asked not believing her ears at the moment, the two girls have been arguing about dance preparations for weeks now.

"I'm not going without a date." Sage reminded her best friend and the Bennett witch couldn't stop her eyes from rolling.

"We're sophomores, you don't need-"

"Says the girl with a date! Still can't believe you're going with Nik." the Mikaelson girl grimaced thinking about her cousin and best friend dating.

"What, he's cute and mature and-"

"My cousin! I can't believe Declan is letting you go with someone a grade above, did you hex him or something?" Sage joked causing Remi to groan with exaggeration.

"Uggh don't even, he's been asking soo many questions and last night mom and I had to stop him from calling Freya." Remi complained with a hint of annoyance but Sage didn't really hear the problem.

"That doesn't sound-"

"It was three in the morning! The man has gone insane, ever since my bio dad popped up he's been super protective. It's getting annoying." Remi elaborated and Sage's words died on her tongue for the moment.

"Maybe he's just worried you won't need him anymore..."

"Why because a guy I share blood with wants to try to be my parent, pops should know better and even if he doesn't he shouldn't push his insecurities on me." Remi argued feeling her annoyance increase at the mere thought of her 'real' dad.

"Fair point." the young Mikaelson supported knowing that's her best option causing Remi to crack a smile at her best friend.

"I know, now back to this dance situation." the brown eyed girl said circling back to the main point of this entire conversation which caused her younger friend to groan.
