Hope POV

"So, are you nervous?" Cleo asked as she held Rose on her lap and watched Landon do my hair. Thank goodness she's able to babysit tonight, the kids love her.

"Extremely." I admitted letting out a breath I just can't seem to shake, Lizzie peaked her head out from my en suite with a questionable frown.

"Why? You literally already live together with four children, only thing missing is the sex and title." my best friend wondered, I let out a humorous chuckle before making eye contact with her through the mirror.

"You're aware our relationship was about more than just sex, right?" I questioned Lizzie but she just shrugged her shoulders before going back to looking through my makeup.

"Yeah, who could forget the commitment and communication issues?" Landon sarcastically asked and I heard Lizzie and Maya holding in their laughs, I turned around to look him in the eye. Asshole.

"I'm kidding!" he reassured causing all of us to laugh and I slapped his shoulder playfully, but of course he winced anyway.

"Ughh, you're the worst!" I groaned throwing my head back hearing little whispers from outside the door. Interesting.

"Oh hush and let me finish this last curl so Liz can finish your makeup." Landon instructed as if I was his child, I rolled my eyes and sat up letting him finish my hair.

"Yeah, yeah..." I grumbled earning a laugh from Cleo and ironically Rose let out a loud giggle causing a smile to immediately grace my face. She has my mom's laugh.

"Anyways do you know where they're taking you? Orrr is it a surprise?" Cleo asked while still playing with my youngest daughter, I sighed thinking about her question.

"Sadly the latter, they told me to wear something classy casual though." I answered remembering the conversation I had with my ex-fiancés last week.

"Well you look great!" Landon announced gesturing to my dress, I hummed and nodded my head in agreement before hearing the whispers again. They'd make terrible spies.

"Girls? I can hear you out there

"Girls? I can hear you out there." I said teasingly and in came three girls with guilty expressions, they're lucky we weren't talking about anything too important.

"Sorry mom, we just wanted to help." my eldest daughter apologized with her big blue puppy eyes, the rest of the adults in the room tried their best not to swoon over her cuteness.

"You look really pretty Auntie Hope!" Remi added before giving me a hug also trying to butter me up, I smiled and hummed at the little Bennett.
