Chapter Nine

Sage's Dream
Sage woke up in a sunflower field but she was still in her pjs and the full moon was out making her eyes shine orange, the little was scared and alone....or so she thought.

"Mommy?! Momma?! Ma?! Auntie Liz?!" Sage called only to receive silence, the little one brought her knees to her chest and began crying. Minutes had gone by when suddenly the little Mikaelson heard something, more like someone....

"Fireflyy..." a voice sung out, Sage stood up assuming it was her momma looking for where the voice came from. She heard the voice again and vamped towards it, she ended up in an open field and finds a figure standing there. Being cautious Sage walked up to the person.

"Hello little one." Dark Josie greeted walking closer to the little girl, Sage was confused but she wasn't scared.

"You look like momma, why?" Sage asked being the curious little one she is, Dark Josie smiled at her daughter's cleverness.

"Because I am your momma....just a different side of her, a stronger side. You're the only one who gets to see me like this, it'll be our secret." DJ explained, Sage nodded suspiciously but let it go for now.

"Okay...momma why are my eyes orange?" Sage asked scared of her new abilities, DJ picked up the girl and started walking through the forest before explaining, Sage relaxed in her arms as DJ rubbed her back.

"Because the only way I can talk to you is through your dreams and in your head you're an activated tribrid, which is super cool. Understand?" DJ comforted her, Sage sighed in relief and nodded against her momma's neck.

"Are you a meanie?" Sage asked referring back DJ's dark aesthetic and the waves of black magic Sage feels seeping of the older girl.

"To most yes, to you and your moms no. I will never hurt you so you don't have to be afraid when you see me. I'm here to protect you, you can trust me." DJ assured as she walked up to a wooden door and placed Sage down.

"Now it's time for you to wake up." DJ said making Sage pout which the older girl found adorable.

"Mommaaa, I don't wanna leave you here alone. You might get sad." Sage reasoned, DJ chuckled at her reasoning and kneeled down to her.

"Don't worry sweet girl, you'll see me again soon." she told her daughter and pulled her in for a hug.

"Okay bye momma, love you." Sage said still hugging her momma.

"I love you too firefly." DJ whispered before kissing her daughter on the cheek and sending her through the door.

Josie POV
I turned over in Sage's bed and opened my eyes to see Sage staring at me curiously, I closed them back. Little weirdo.

"What time is it firefly?" I asked with my eyes still closed.

"Ion know, I can't read." Sage answered causing me to chuckle but not open my eyes. I forget she's only three, she's so smart-

"Can I have a baby sister?" she asked unfazed interrupting my thoughts, my eyes shot open since sleep is definitely not on my mind anymore.

"I- um, maybe? You have to ask your mommy since she's the one who carries the baby in her tummy." I explained, she nodded her head and was quiet.

"I hope she says yes, I reallyy want one!" Sage emphasized, I smiled at the thought of having more kids and giving Sage a little sibling. I hope someday Hope will want more kids but preferably soon since Sage is already three-
