The Pride Lands is a peaceful region in the heartland of Africa, it acts as a utopia for many different wild animals. It is ruled over by King Simba and Queen Nala, they also have a young daughter named Kiara. The Pride Lands had remained untouched by mankind for generations, however that was about to come to an end.
Somewhere far far away from the Pride Lands, was a mighty empire called Osha, that ruled all of North Africa. It's ruler, Emperor Muantero, wished to expand Osha's influence and power. So one day, he organized an exploration to go into the south and find new lands for Osha to conquer.

The group left early in the morning and went southward as the emperor had commanded them. A few days later they arrived at the border of the Pride Lands, but quickly ran into a pack of hyenas. The group tried to run away but they weren't fast enough. Only one explorer managed to escape while the hyenas slaughtered everyone else. Back in Osha, Emperor Muantero kept trying to contact the group on their progress via telegraph but to no avail.
He was both furious and confused that a group of 35 explorers could just disappear without a trace. Then suddenly, the one escaped explorer finally returned and went to the emperor. The emperor demanded to know what happened, and so the explorer told Emperor Muantero everything, and what he said made Emperor Muantero's jaw drop.
The explorer explained that he and all the other explorers went to a large savanna called the Pride Lands. It was a huge land mass which expanded for what he predicted was about 4500 acres, and it was full of beautiful plants and animals, and was completely littered with natural resources. The emperor was very fascinated by what was going on, but his ambitions to conquer new lands were much greater. He sent out a call to the military for 500 men to go to the Pride Lands, and take it over.

The emperor also insisted he'd come to observe the army, despite protests from his imperial advisors. Emperor Muantero left with the army in his imperial carriage. The location of the old commander's video feed was given to the army, so that they could successfully make their way to the Pride Lands.
