"Grandfather Mufasa, are you there?" Kion asked as he stared up into the blue sky. Mufasa's face then appeared before Kion. "I am here Kion, what's wrong?" Asked Mufasa. "I'm feeling really scared about this war with the humans. They are such good fighters, much better then any of us. They almost conquered the entire Pride Lands, and just a week ago they took Kilio Valley." Said Kion.

"I understand this must all be so stressful to you Kion. But you can't just loose hope so quickly." Said Mufasa. Kion continued to listen while unknown to him, Billy and his friend Jim were walking behind him searching for fruit and berries. They did not notice Kion just 10 feet away until Billy turned his head and saw him looking up at the sky.

"Dude get down...!" Said Billy. They quickly ducked behind a bush and just watched Kion. Since the boys were incapable of seeing Mufasa's ghost, to them Kion was just talking to a blank sky, which left them very confused.

[What Billy and his friend saw]

"Thank you for the advice Grandfather Mufasa, I'll make sure to never give up no matter what happens." Said Kion. "Who the hell is he talking to?" Asked Jim. "I don't know, there's nobody there. He must have a screw loose or something." Said Billy. "Well come on man, let's go back to base before he sees us." Said Jim. The two then left the scene without being noticed.

Later that same day, Commander McCoy was monitoring the training of about 30 new conscripts. He went up to Marshal Wolsey, who was training all of the conscripts. "They seem to be doing well." Said Commander McCoy. "Yes, they are." Said Marshal Wolsey. "Well, get them ready for battle, cause we are gonna march all the way to Mizimu Grove. It's full of resources and by capturing it, we will split the Pride Lands in two." Said Commander McCoy.

Marshal Wolsey didn't quite agree with Commander McCoy's plan. "With all due respect Commander, I do not think we are in the condition to preform any massive assaults. The conscripts aren't fully trained, they can barely even shoot right, and everyone else is exhausted. The men in Kilio Valley are just barely getting by and almost nobody can even keep their heads up straight." Explained Marshal Wolsey.

"I am exhausted too, Wolsey. Now listen to me, we can't just sit around like this for long periods of time. Once the animals of the Pride Lands sense this, they will take advantage of it and destroy us." Said Commander McCoy. "Very well sir. I'll go get the men ready to march." Said Marshal Wolsey.

And so, Commander McCoy along with 300 men and an additional 160 men from Kilio Valley began their long march to Mizimu Grove. Almost half of all of the soldiers were just conscripts. Some of the soldiers were not just tired, but were drunk as well. As they all marched, their legs constantly ached and some of them even started singing. One such soldier was singing the old traditional sea shanty: Sally Brown.

A little while later, the army was almost at Mizimu Grove, but they came across a large ravine which stopped them all dead in their tracks. "Sir, how do we get across this?" Asked General Rex. Before Commander McCoy could even respond, the army got suddenly ambushed by a heard of gazelle from Nyani Grove not too far away.

The men quickly got their guns and cannons ready and took cover behind rocks and bushes, some men even ducked down into the ravine. Commander McCoy watched as his soldiers fought the gazelle, and he looked around for any sign of the Lion Guard, he did not see them, which was good news. Commander McCoy knew he had to capture Mizimu Grove before the Lion Guard came, so he ordered his men to equip their bayonets to their guns and charge straight at the gazelle while firing at them.

The strategy proved effective as 25 of the gazelle were taken down, but at the expense of 15 of the men. Commander McCoy then saw 3 cowardly soldiers ducked behind a bolder in the ravine, he gave his horse a whip and trotted on over to them. "Gentlemen! The Lion Guard will be here at any minute to tear us all to shreds! Your place is with your fellow soldiers, not here behind a damp bolder!" Shouted Commander McCoy. "Sorry sir!" Said one of the soldiers. "Apologize later damn it! Just go!" Shouted Commander McCoy.

Before long, the Lion Guard finally joined the battle. The men kept on fighting, but the Lion Guard was really starting to beat them back alongside the rest of the gazelle. "Those French's cannot get here soon enough..." Said Commander McCoy under his breath. "Okay, everyone get behind me, now!" Said Kion. "He's gonna roar, everyone get down!" Said Commander McCoy.

The command managed to get to some of the soldiers while others were too far away to hear it. Kion did the Roar and almost all of the remaining soldiers including Commander McCoy were blown away right back to the Out Lands. Only 6 men remained in the Pride Lands after the Roar, and no longer knowing what to do, they surrendered themselves to the Lion Guard.

"What do we do with them Kion?" Asked Beshte. "Let's take them to my dad. He'll know what to do." Said Kion. The Lion Guard took all 6 men to Pride Rock where they met King Simba. He decided to exile the men back to the Out Lands, they were escorted there by the Lion Guard.

The ARO had suffered another blistering defeat. The army only made up of 3500 men and 30% of them were still camped out in Kilio Valley. There was even less resources after the attack on Mizimu Grove, but a small supply cart was taken to Kilio Valley which sort of helped the men there, but not really by a lot.

Later that night at 10 pm, Commander McCoy was resting in his quarters while drinking a bottle of scotch. He got a small knock on his door, it was Marshal Wolsey. "Yes?" Asked Commander McCoy. "It's me sir." Said Marshal Wolsey. "Come on in Wolsey." Said Commander McCoy. Marshal Wolsey then came into the room holding a paper in his hands. "What's that?" Asked Commander McCoy. "It's a letter from the French prime minister Lionel Jospin. He says: Commander McCoy, on behalf of myself and the Fifth French Republic, we hereby recognize the severity of the situation you and your army are in, and accept your request of mutual assistance in your war against the so-called Pride Lands. We've conscripted 8000 men from our grand army, and they will be at your location within 5 days." Said Marshal Wolsey.

Commander McCoy's mood suddenly turned around, he got up from his bed and stood before Marshal Wolsey. "So the French are on their way? That's great. What are their terms?" Asked Commander McCoy. "They request that all of their men return back to France after the war's end, and that all of their debts be payed back to them also after the war's end." Said Marshal Wolsey.

"Well, I'll be willing to pay off any debts to these guys if they help us win." Said Commander McCoy. "Well sir, I think our situation is about to become much better than." Said Marshal Wolsey. Word got around fast among the ARO soldiers that the French were coming, and everyone was excited, especially those who were of French descent.

The Pride Lands were about to be in for some very nasty fighting against the powerful French forces.
