Commander McCoy called a meeting of his top marshals, and he told them his plan. He would send a message to the United States saying that the ARO was allowing a private V.I.P tour of the Pride Lands in search for agricultural resources that would be profitable. Once the Americans arrive, the ARO would give them the promised tour going deep into the Pride Lands. Then when the Lion Guard sees the tourists, Kion will use his roar on them. The U.S would label it as an attack on their people, which would force them to join the war.

Everyone was shocked that Commander McCoy would come up with such a extreme plan. "I understand that not all of you are on board, but at this point what choice do we have?" Said Commander McCoy. "Sir, listen to yourself. We're talking about using innocent civilians as bait." Said Marshal Wolsey. "It's a damn shame, I know. But their sacrifices won't be in vein, when we get the most powerful country on the face of the planet on our side in this bloody war." Said Commander McCoy.

Finally everyone conceded and decided to go forth with the plan. A message was sent to the United States explaining the tour, and the United States replied back within a week. They agreed to the tour, but under the strict condition that the tourists would be under the full military protection of the ARO at all times.

The ARO of course agreed to that condition, and so the grand tour of the Pride Lands was announced to the American public. A group of 80 Americans came to the Pride Lands, the group was a large collection mostly made up of just ordinary American citizens, but there were also farmers, miners, and blacksmith, looking to make a profit from whatever resources they'd might find.

At around 10 am, the tourists were all escorted out of their temporary rooms which were provided to them by generous soldiers, then went up to Commander McCoy.

"I am Commander Gene McCoy of the Alliance to Restore Osha. Now I'm sure you all have heard about our ongoing campaign to take over the Pride Lands savanna, so I must warn you all that during our tour, the Pride Land's Lion Guard will also be doing their daily patrol. But, this is no cause for alarm. As you all be under the protection of the ARO's grand army. I wish you all the best of luck with what you might find." Said Commander McCoy.

The tourists all got nervous at the mention of the Lion Guard, and some were considering leaving early out of fear, but they soon found out that leaving the tour early wasn't allowed, so the ones who wanted to leave had no choice.

The soldiers all guided the tourists into Pride Lands territory, and they all became fixated on the Pride Land's beauty. As the tourists all went to go claim their natural resources, Kion saw what was happening and gasped. He didn't know that the people he saw were totally innocent, he thought they were just very poorly prepared soldiers. Kion sprang into action by blocking the path of a large farmer from Georgia with a long gray beard.

"Hey! Back off!" Said Kion while growling. "Hey hey hey, just what do you think you're doing you little critter! Now scat!" Said the farmer. He began trying to poke Kion in the face with his rake, which made Kion angry, and that's when the big fight broke out.
