Steve, Natasha, Clint and I climbed into the jet and headed off to the city. We arrived on the ground as the blue portal opened in the sky. There was large sleigh looking thing's that flew through the air. Alien's called Chitauri, that Thor warned us about, were controlling them. Tony in his Iron-Man suit was flying up towards the air blasting the aliens. But, then there was suddenly a large worm/whale creatures that floated down through the air called Leviathans.
"Uh, are you guys seeing these things?" I stepped from the jet and watched as they all started attacking the city.
"Seeing. Still working on believing." Tony said through his com.
"Well, he wasn't kidding when he said it was an army from outer space." Nat said.
"Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?" Tony asked.
"Banner?" Steve asked curiously.
"Just keep me posted." Tony ordered.
"Okay, we need to get as many civilians to safety as possible. Start clearing the street's and take out the aliens. Amara, I need you to get back to the tower and see what you can do to shut down the portal." Steve ordered each one of us and without hesitation we complied. As every one separated Steve grabbed my arm. "Stay safe, Amara." He smiled at me and we stared at each other for a moment.
"Uh, Steve, you kinda have to let go of my arm. We have a city to save." I smiled at him and blushed.
"Right, uh-hem." He cleared his throat and smiled. "Good luck." His cheek's turning a light pink too.
I ran toward's Stark Tower. A Chitauri jumped down and stood in front of me, shooting it's large weapon at me. I jumped out of the way and landed safely. Quickly, I put my hand up and a sent a shield toward's the alien, knocking it out of my path. A group of the alien's ran towards me. I stood still and remembered my weapon, unsheathing my sword. They got close enough and I started fighting them off. The angrier I got the more powerful I felt. A surge of power filled me and I raised my hand's, punching my fist into the ground letting out a violet colored blast, tearing the ones around me to ash. I made my way finally to the edge of the street. The tower was right in front of me. I ran towards the door and Thor landed in front of me.
"Lady Amara. I'm so glad you're all right." Thor engulfed me in a large hug, squeezing tightly. "I feared Loki may have killed you." Thor looked down at my face and I pulled away after a moment.
"I'm all right, Thor. The stab wound healed rather quickly. But we need to stop Loki, the Tesseract is up at the top of the tower."
"Would you like a lift?" Thor smiled at me holding out his arm. I looked at him curiously and took his arm again. He pulled me into his chest, holding me around my waist tightly. "Hang on." He smirked.
Thor twirled his hammer faster and faster until our feet were lifted off the ground. I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck and shut my eye's. I heard him let out a small chuckle. Our feet quickly touched the ground once again. I opened my eyes and tried to let go, but Thor held on tightly. I saw the expression on his face become angry and I turned to see what he was looking at. Loki was standing there in his green asgardian robes, with a large golden helmet with horns.
"Loki, turn off the Tesseract or I'll destroy it." Thor threatened.
"You can't. There is no stopping it. There is only the war." Loki growled.
"So be it." Thor returned the growl.
Loki jumped from the platform he was on at us, giving out a war like cry. Thor quickly pushed me out of the way, behind him. As the two began to fight I ran into the tower. And made my way up to the top of the roof. I assessed the situation and there was no way to penetrate it. No control's that were able to turn it off. It was completely self sustaining now, keeping the portal wide open. After a few minute's Thor joined me at the top.
