The next day, Thursday, was spent the same way, practicing my abilities without actually practicing. It felt a bit torturous, but at the same time it was relaxing. It was late by the time we stopped, so we headed upstairs.

"That was pretty great work today, my dove." Loki smiled.

"Loki, we didn't really do much." I laughed with the shake of my head.

"Doing this is helping more than you realize. Concentration and emotion are a great deal when it comes to magic." Loki lifted his hand and showed me a small fireworks display appearing out from his palm. It was so beautiful. "My mother taught me this. She taught me the way's of magical abilities. You meant a great deal to her, which is why she tried so hard to help you when we were kid's. I wouldn't be helping just anyone do this you know." Loki pointed out with a small smile.

"I know. I can't thank you enough, Loki." I hugged him and sighed.

"Something has been weighing heavily on your mind. I can tell. Your forehead is creased." Loki said softly.

I pulled away and went to sit on the couch after exiting the elevator. Loki sat in his usual chair, propping his elbows on his legs, leaning forward with his fingers linked together.

"It's just late and I'm tired." I said trying to brush him off.

"I don't think so." He looked at me studying my face. "You're worried, being that it's now Friday." I looked at Loki surprised at what he said. The clock on the tv stand said 12:21 am and I didn't speak. "I know it is your birthday. So, Happy 19th Birthday Amara."

"Thank you, Loki... I'm just upset that no one will be here for it. Usually my birthday was spent as a great day with my Dad. I miss him still so much. In a few day's it will have been a whole year without him. My birthday is the day everything started... So it just make's for a rough day..." I explained sadly.

I felt Loki's emotions churn like an upset stomach. He was washed over with guilt and sadness.

"I... I've never actually apologized to you for that. I'm sorry, that I took that bit of happiness away from you." Loki looked down at his feet. I got up and sat in his lap.

"Loki, look at me." I pulled his face to look at mine. His arm's wrapped around my waist. "I've already forgiven you for it. I know it wasn't really you." He put his face in my neck and breathed in deeply. "I love you, you know. You're my best friend." I said and hugged him tightly.

"I love you too. You're my best friend as well. Have you told my brother that you love him yet?" Loki pulled away and smirked at me.

"No, because we've only been together for technically 6 days. It might have been 3 weeks since we left, but it was day 2 on Asgard when he asked and then returning here to Earth, it's been 4 days. So we've actually only been spent for 3 of 6 of them togther in person." I laughed thinking about the strange time difference and then a giant yawn escaped my mouth.

"Okay. I think it's time for the birthday girl to go to bed." Loki lifted me up.

"Thank's, Loki." He wrapped his arm's tightly around me and he carried me to the bedroom upstairs.

"Goodnight, my dove." Loki said as he stood me to my feet in front of my door.

"Goodnight, Loki." I kissed his cheek and went into my room, closing the door behind me.

I dressed in some of my silky pajama's and climbed into my bed, under my comforter. I laid my head down to try and rest, I couldn't help but cry myself to sleep.

Later Friday morning I woke up to the sun shining into my room like it always did. Except today I wasn't feeling like getting out of my bed. I just rolled over and covered my head with a pillow and grunted really loudly.
