As Bruno lay on his bed, he looks up at the ceiling. He had just moved back into the house. But, he was in thought. Wondering. Pondering. Remembering.

One day, Bruno had enough of his visions and the many people cursing him. In a fit of rage, he began to pack up his bags. The Casita moved the tiles in a calming way, as if it didn't want him to leave.

"No, Casita, I am leaving, and no one can stop me.", Bruno said, blind from his rage. Once his tears dropped to the ground, he heard the soft voice of his Mama.

"Brunito? You're leaving?", Alma asked in a quaky voice.

"Yes, Mama. I have had enough of this. I'm tired of people cursing me and treating me badly because of my stupid Gift!! And you know what else I'm tired of? You!! You always push me to the side as if I'm nothing. You always gave Pepa and Juli the spotlight, but what about their only brother, huh?!?! You only gave them a pedestal because their Gifts weren't a burden. And when people treat me badly, you don't even do anything!! You just stand there like I'm just a stranger. So, yes, Mama, I am leaving.", Bruno argued.

Alma looked stern and mad. And when Alma held that mad expression, the tiles began to shake as if an earthquake shook the Encanto.

"If you leave this house, you are dead to me.", Alma said in deadpan. She thought, if Bruno wanted to leave, she might as well treat him as if he's leaving.

But, Alma wasn't prepared to hear Bruno's response.

"WELL I WISH I WAS DEAD!!", Bruno shouted, his eyes glowing a very strong jade.

And Bruno grabbed his bags and left his room, slamming the door. As he left to go into his hideout, Alma crashed to her knees and became a sobbing mess. Why did she treat her Brunito, her only son, so harshly?? If only Pedro was still there.

And in the hideout, Bruno was, too, a sobbing mess. But, he let out the most painful screams ever, anguished and hurt by his sudden response as well as his bottled emotions from all those years of being shunned.

Back in the present, Bruno started to cry himself to sleep. Alma heard it all and decided to cuddle next to her son. She gave him a peck on his head and whispered, "Words cannot describe how sorry I am, Bruno. I am so sorry. You didn't deserve your pain. You...don't deserve me. I was horrible to you and I regret it. You deserve better. So much better. Buenas nochesmi amado hijo."

And little did she know was that Bruno heard the whole thing, and more tears fell, and slumber finally took him over...
