Mirabel wasn't prepared for today.
One day, she was asked by Dolores that Isa needed to chat with her. Mirabel complied and entered Isa's room, closing the door right behind her.
"Isa?? You okay? Dolores said you needed to chat with me.", Mirabel called out.
"Hi...Mira. I need to tell you something. Something that nobody knows and I thank the heavens that our rooms are soundproof.", Isa said.
"Okay I'm all ears.", Mirabel said.
"Well...I'm lesbian. Which was the reason why I didn't want to marry Mariano. Because I'm gay. I'm pretty scared, Mira. I don't want to tell everyone because they'd probably kick me out.", Isa confessed.
Mira rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Look, Isa, I'm bisexual, and I told Mama and Papa. You should tell them first before you come out to the entire Familia.", Mirabel said, pulling Isa towards her door.
"But, they'll hate me!!", Isa said.
"Trust me, sis. They won't. Trust me. I..didn't come out to the family either, so, we can both come out.", Mirabel said with a smile.
Isa smiled and followed behind Mirabel. Once he got outside, Mirabel asked the Casita to call the familia.
And it did.
I'm about five minutes, the whole family was on the bottom floor. Mirabel led Isa down the stairs, linking her arm with Isa's. Mirabel could feel Isa shaking in fear, but she reassured that everything was going to be okay.
"Hola. Um...I have something I should've told you guys a while ago. Mama and Papa know, but you all deserve to know. I, Mirabel Madrigal, is bisexual. If you don't accept me, I am totally okay with it. It means I'm attracted to both male and female genders. And...Isa has something to tell you too.", Mirabel announced.
"I'm lesbian. I'm attracted to girls. Like Mira said, if you don't accept neither of us, we're fine with it. But...the truth is that was the reason why I didn't want to marry Mariano. I found out when I was 19. So...yeah.", Isa said, shaking.
It got quiet until Bruno walked to the two and gave them a hug.
"This is exactly what I envisioned. I accept you both.", Bruno said with a smile. It's hilarious because he's also bisexual, not to mention asexual too.
Isa began to sob in joy and the entire family ran to the three and they all had a huge group hug.
Instantly, Isa exhaled shakily, relieving the giant weight that was on her shoulders for 4 years.
