"Now to the vows."
Nat and I turn around to face each other and I can see Yelena behind Nat.
She looks happy but shoots me a short, warning look, silently telling me the same thing, Tony told Nat.
I nod slightly and she relaxes and smiles at me.

My eyes find the green ones I fell in love with and I feel home.
Nat's voice is a little less confident than usual and way softer than normally when we're around people as she starts talking.

"When we first met, I never thought that we would end up getting married. I'd lie if I would say that I didn't fall for you the second I first laid eyes on you. When Tony invited me to join the Avengers, I never expected, to find the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.
You caught my eye from the beginning and I remember laying in bed the night we first meet and thinking about you. About your smile, the way you looked at me, your eyes, your laugh, your hair, your face and your lips. Everything about you was and still is perfect to me. But you're not just beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. You showed me what love feels like and that it's so amazing and makes you feel fuzzy and bubbly. We were honest from the beginning and when I told you about my past, you didn't run away, you told me that you will be there for me whenever it will get hard again. You showed patience, waiting for me to be ready to be your girlfriend. You never rushed me into anything and gave me the time I needed and showed me that I can fully trust you even though it wasn't always easy and it took quite a while. But you never said anything bad about it.
You took me just the way I am, with all my flaws and troubles. You became my home, my safe space and I can't wait for you to become my family. I promise to love you every single day of our marriage and make sure you know how much you mean to me. I won't ever let you down and I will take care of you, no matter what will come our way. You're safe with me and I will protect you with all I have and am for the rest of our lives."

Tears run down my face at her words and I swallow down a sob.
It makes me so happy and means so much to me that she feels safe around me and has finally found her home.
The home she missed as a child and never had.
My voice is a slight bit shaky as I start talking.

"I never really believed in love at first sight but when I met you, I knew it was real. You took my breath away when I first saw you and you never failed to do it again every single day. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever saw and I am so lucky to call you mine. I remember sitting in my bed, the day we first met, and writing into my diary, talking about the most stunning woman I've met that day. I didn't know you back then but I knew immediately that we would get along greatly and we did. We started dating after a while and I couldn't believe that you are my girlfriend. You made me fee so special, every single day of our relationship. You let me be myself and encouraged me to believe in myself and showed me true love. You held me when I cried and laughed with me when I was in a silly mood. You never made me feel like my feelings didn't matter. They were always important to you and so were my thoughts. I remember the one date were we just sat at our little café and talked for hours. You never got tired of hearing my rambling and I can't express how much I appreciate that.
I quickly knew I found my forever person and nothing about you made me rethink that for a second. You are so perfect to me and your laugh became my favorite sound and I will never get tired of that. And I promise you, to make you happy every single day and I will always be there for you and fight by your side, no matter what it is. And you're not the only person who found a home in someone else because you are my home and it doesn't matter where we are or will go, as long as I have you, I will be happy. I promise to love you forever and let you feel this love every day."

A single tear falls down Nat's cheek which is unexpected because she never cries in front of other people but I guess my words truly touched her.
We gaze into each other's eyes and I almost forget that there are other people around us but as the priest silently clears her throat, we turn to her.
"The rings?"
Wanda gives her the little box with our wedding rings and she opens it and holds them open.
Nat and I both take the other's ring and wait for the priest to continue.
