Pov y/n

Our last stop is Germany, the first hotel is in Munich. The city is big and beautiful. We once again go shopping and explore the city on our first day.
For our second day, Nat planned a hike and we take a car to get outside of the city. The path is nice and the nature looks beautiful. There are so many flowers and the sun shines magically through the leaves of the trees over us.

We take a break and sit down on a bench that has a wonderful view over the nature below us since we went up a hill.
It's peaceful and calm and I enjoy the alone time with my girlfriend, without anyone interrupting us or her being called to a mission or a meeting.
The path leads us trough a village where we decide to take another break and eat something. Once again I'm impressed my Nat's language skills and watch as she interacts with the waiter.

"Why are you staring at me?" She chuckles when she looks back at me after the waiter is gone.
"It's just really attractive when you speak a different language." I admit and blush a little.
"Oh really?" She asks a bit surprised. "Well then... du bist so wunderschön und deine Augen funkeln heller als alle Sterne in diesem Universum."
She laughs at my confused expression.
„That sounded like a compliment but I have to clue what you just said."
"I know and I said: You are so beautiful and your eyes sparkle brighter than all the stars in the universe."
I blush at her words and intertwine our fingers, pull her hand to my mouth and kiss the back of her hand.

Lunch was great, we had potatoes, a salad and a schnitzel.
The way back to the car isn't that long but I still start to feel exhausted when we reach the car and slump into my seat.
I take a nap on the way back and wake up in our hotel room, apparently I must have slept that deep that Nat could carry me upstairs without noticing.
I look around to find her sitting next to me, being on her phone.
"What are you doing?" I ask and she jumps a little which makes me grin, I can make Natasha Romanoff jump.
"Checking the weather for tomorrow." She explains and opens her arms for me to cuddle into.
"What are we doing tomorrow?" I ask and watch her display.

Usually we plan the days together but at some point she insisted to have a day where she could surprise me. I agreed and am now excited to see what she has planned.
"We're going to visit Schloss Neuschwannstein. It's a castle, that's supposed to look like one from a fairytale." She shares and my eyes grow big.
I love fairytales and also the old Disney movie versions of them. They are kind of my comfort movies and going to a real castle, is like one of my points on my bucket list.
"Are you serious?" I ask, looking at my girlfriend with big eyes.
"Of course I am. I know how much you adore fairytales, honey." She strokes my hair and kisses my forehead.
"You're the best." I say and hug her tightly. She returns the hug and leans her head on top of mine.

I bounce up and down in excitement as we stand in line to get into the castle. It looks breathtaking from the outside and I can't wait to go inside.
Once we're passed the ticket shop, I start to run around the inner courtyard. Nat stays in her spot and watches me. When I stand still for a bit to look at something, she comes to my side to intertwine our fingers.
"I know you're excited but would you mind us holding hands? Because I'm worried, I'll lose you otherwise in the amount of people here." It sounds like she is partly joking and partly genuinely worried. I nod and pull her with me to look at something else.

She lets me lead the way and we look at everything, slowly making our way through the castle. Not a single complain leaves her mouth while we walk around. I often catch her looking at me with a happy smile and give her a kiss every time.
We reach one of the higher floors. Here aren't as many people as downstairs.
There's a balcony and we step out onto it to take in the view. The castle from this up high looks amazing and I am in awe with the view.
"This is incredible, Tasha. Thank you so much, I love this surprise." I say while looking around. "There's nothing that could make this day better."

"Are you sure?" She asks and I turn around to look at her and a gasp, a hand covering my mouth when I see her down on one knee.
She holds up a little box that she opens slowly to reveal a beautiful ring.

"Y/n, we've been together for over four years now and you made me smile every single one of them. We clicked from the first time we meet and you're not just my girlfriend, you're also my best friend and I wouldn't want to have it anyother way. You helped me see that there is still good in this world and you showed me what real love feels like. I feel safe with you and loved and home. You are my home, y/n. And I love you with everything I am. We've come a long way from where we started and we both have grown so much and our relationship showed that it can take a lot without breaking. We always found a way when the road got bumpy, we learned a lot from each other and I can't remember a life without you anymore. There's nothing I wouldn't do to protect you. You are my everything and I love you endlessly. I don't just see my past and present in you, I also see my future. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, no matter if it's full of further adventures or calm days. I want to stay with you forever and make you happy every single day for the rest of our lives. So would you do me the honor and marry me?"

Silent tears run down my cheeks as I listen to her. I nod slowly, getting faster until I kneel down in front of her to pull her in for a kiss, putting every emotion in it that I feel. My hands cup her face when we break apart and I wipe a tear out of her eyes.
"Yes. I want to marry you, Natasha. There's nothing in the world that could make me happier and I can't wait for the day I become your wife." My voice shakes a little.

She carefully takes one of my hands off her face to slide the ring onto my finger. It's stunning and I can't believe I'm getting married to the love of my life.
"Ich liebe dich." (I love you) Nat whispers against my lips.
"Ich liebe dich auch." (I love you too.) I answer and she looks at me surprised.
"I may have practiced that to say it back properly at least one time." I tell her and her smile grows impossibly bigger and she connects our lips again.

We separate after a few seconds and get up. I look at the ring on my finger.
"I'm going to be y/n Romanoff." I state excited and Nat laughs quietly.
"Don't you want to keep your name?"
I shake my head and look up at her.
"I want to take your name." I say and she smiles at me lovingly.
"I don't really care who takes whose name, as long as we have the same and are officially a family."
Our eyes lock and it feels like a thousand butterflies dance in my stomach.
"This is so far the best day in my life." She says and my heart melts at her genuine tone and I pull her closer.
"Mine too."
And with that I share yet another kiss with my now fiancée.

A/n: A little surprise in the end that I really like.
