Naomi's POV

Throughout school, my mind has been on what happened yesterday. I put him in his place but something inside me says I was a little too hard on him.

No no I wasn't.

Was I, though?

I don't know this is too confusing. He literally just came in yesterday it's already hard to get him out my head.

I continue pondering my decisions, not seeing the teacher in my 2nd period calling my name.

"Naomi!" the teacher yelled.

My eyes shot to her in surprise before I gave her the "what?" look.

"The principal wants you in office. Now!" she ordered. I roll my eyes as I grab my bag and head towards the door.

Before I step out the classroom, I hear my teacher say, "And don't bother coming back. You'll probably be in there for the rest of the day."

I sigh as I head towards the principal's office. Why did he want me in there? I didn't do anything.

Once I reach the office, I knock on the door. Within seconds, the door opens with Mr. Lee standing in the doorway.

"Ah, Ms. Ranger. Please, come in. We have a lot to talk about." he says as he open the door wider for me to step in.

I questioned why I was here in the first place till I saw the girls from yesterday in the room.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." I whispered under my breath with an eye roll.

The ghetto.

"Language." Mr. Lee warned before signaling me to sit in a chair across from his desk, next to the girls.

He then sat in his chair, observing all of us.

"Ms. Ranger, the girls tell me that y'all had a scuffle yesterday, is that correct?" he asks.

"Scuffle is a unique word for it but sure." I reply. Lee nods before continuing.

"The girls say you punched Lori in the face?" he questions with curiosity.

"Is it really a question? We all see the bruise on her face and it was for good reason." I claim.

Lee looks at the girls face as dried tear streams mark her face.

Diva.

"Why did you punch her in the face?"

"She called me a racial slur." I state simply. No reason for me to lie and I don't plan to plead the fifth. The quicker I explain the situation, the quicker I get out of here.

I looked down towards Mr. Lee's hands which were grasped within each other as they slowly clenched together.

"What exactly did she call you?"

"Are you seriously asking her that when she punched me in the face?! She attacked me!" the girl named Lori shouted.

Mr. Lee quickly raised his hand, to silence her. She quickly backed down as his focus returned to me.

"Start from the beginning." he stated.

"I was walking towards the bus stop, they came from behind me nagging about the new boy in our class since they seemed desperate for attention. They came to me because they thought I was hogging all the attention." I continued.

"I truly didn't care about it and told them that the boy didn't talk the whole time during the school tour in which Lori stated that it was because I was and I quote,  an "ugly ass baboon bitch"."  stated with a straight face, crossing my arms.
