Naomi's POV
I woke up with Dylan caressing my face and smiling at me. It didn't take much for me to fall apart in his arms and let him have me. I know something is bound to happen but I'm black so I'm not going to question it.
Once we showered up, he took me down to his gym (that I didn't even knew he had) /training room. He told me that it was time that I begin to know how to defend myself and learn how to use certain weapons.
I had no problem with the reason, I found it quite cordial that he would help me when he wasn't around. He said even though I already knew how to fight, referencing back to when I beat Lisa's ass, that I still need to know how to fight for real.
"Let's start you off with the basics." he said as he brought me up to a big silicone dummy.
"Get in this stance." he says while posing with his left foot in front and his right in the back. His left arm was up vertically while his right arm was down to his side but sill facing up. Both hands were in a fist.
I copied his stance and once I got accommodated to it, he began to circle around me and straighten my posture in some areas.
"Good, remember that position. You'll use it pretty much all the time." he said before returning in the position I was now in.
After that, he began teaching me how to punch while switching arms. I thought it was a weird feeling but once I got the hang of it, it felt right. We continued to do together at different paces till I could to it at a good rate.
After that type of training, he took me to his gym where we stretched out certain muscles and got on treadmills. We ran for about an hour and I have never praised the long walks on the New York sidewalk than I have now.
After the treadmills, we worked on our legs for about 2 hours and same with our arms. It was hard work but getting to spend this much time with Dylan made the process worth while. Once we were done, we took a small break before heading to a gun range, still located in his house.
This is what happens when you decide to date someone you didn't know was rich. He put on all the safety materials that I needed before actually giving me a gun. When he gave it to me, it was heavier than I thought. I was almost shocked at the weight.
"It'll get lighter the more you hold it." he tells me as if knowing exactly what I was thinking. He then positioned me in front of a target and brought my arms in front of me. Once I get the feel of the position I aim the gun the best I can before pulling the trigger. But when I did, no bullet came out.
I lifted an eyebrow, thinking the gun was jammed, but when I looked at Dylan, he was laughing like I had just told the funniest joke in the world.
"What?" I question, oblivious to what he was still laughing at. He came towards me before turning the gun to its side and pressing a button that was sticking out. He then looked at me.
"You forgot to turn the safety off." he says with an amused expression while raising and lowering his eyebrows.
"Fuck you." I say with a roll of my eyes before aiming it at the target. Dylan busts out laughing once more, grasping his stomach for air.
Ass hat.
Once I got comfortable and tuned out Dylan laughs, I shot the target. Once I did, it was like a wave hit me, and pushed me back a bit. Dylan made sure to catch me, his laughs finally wearing off. But they automatically stopped as he looked at the target.
I looked in the same direction that he did, seeing the target with a new hole in it- directly in the center.
"Well, fuck me." Dylan says flabbergasted.
As much as I wanted to say "gladly", I bit my tongue, not wanting to give him any ideas. I stood up straight and aimed the gun at the target once more, thinking it was just beginners luck. I took my aim before shooting again. I was surprised to see the bullet shot slightly next to the hole before, but it was still in the center.
"Well, look who's a lucky shot." Dylan said as he came up to me and put his arm around my shoulder. I lowered the gun and turned my head towards him, our lips being inches apart.
"Now you're gonna need me." I say with a mischievous smirk on my face.
"I guess I will." he retorts with a smirk before pulling me in for a kiss, a smile heavy on my face. We got lost in the kiss until we heard sounds from behind us.
"Alright you two break it up." AJ says as he enters while clapping his hands. Dylan and I separate but his arm doesn't leave from around my neck. We turn towards him as he has a fake grimace along his face.
"I get y'all together and now I can't keep y'all apart! My eyes!" he shouts with a suck of his teeth, his Nigerian accent coming out as he raises his voice. He then crossed his arms, making him look more dramatic.
Both Dylan and I roll our eyes before Dylan begins speaking.
"What do you need AJ?" Dylan asks with amusement laced in his tone.
"Oh, Lisa was asking for you, including you, Naomi." AJ answers. When he says that, shock fills my face. I'm surprised she even wants me in a mile radius within her. I quickly exchange a look with Dylan.
"Why?" I ask, still shocked.
"I don't know. She refuses to speak till you two are both present." he explains.
I give Dylan another look, which he returns. That look of uncertainty of what could happen. But nevertheless, we filed behind AJ to the cells. When we reached the cell Lisa was being held in, she was sitting on the small bed that she had. Her head was lowered and she was quiet.
"Their here now. Hurry and tell us." AJ says as he banged on the cell a bit.
A quiet chuckle escapes from Lisa. She's finally gone insane, not like she wasn't already.
"You have no idea what's coming for you." Lisa says before looking up at us, specifically me and then Dylan.
"What do you mean?" I ask, stepping forward.
"Oh, nothing." she says with a sarcastic tone and smirk.
"Just know one thing- you all are screwed."
