[Kai's POV]
She was no more.
This was the downfall of the Preeminent.
And it was all thanks to Nya.
Of course I'm proud of her, she unlocked her true potential faster that anyone else on the team, she deserved this victory.
But I couldn't celebrate with her, no one could. Even she was exhausted from this battle. We all dispersed as soon as it was over.
Nya and Zane went in one direction, Jay in the other. Both Sensei and Misako stayed look out, making sure everyone was alright as we sailed to a safer land.
It was only Lloyd, Cole and I.
And then Lloyd left.
I stood, leaning on the side railing of the boat. The wind blew my hair back, it was a gentle ocean breeze, but it brought upon a shiver every now and again.
"What are you doing Romeo."
Cole makes his was besides me, comfortably placing a 10cm gap between us.
Even in times of dark he managed to shine a light.
"I think... You did... I'm glad it's just you out here. I think, after everything.. it's just good to be us again. No fighting, no stress."
"yeah.. I'm glad it's just you too. I don't think I can handle much more commotion. I'm sorry.. by the way... That things didn't work with Jay."
"You have nothing to apologize for red, something's just aren't meant to be."
You can tell, behind his fake smile, that he's filled with heartbreak.
"Oh, Lloyd seemed pretty upset after the fight. He walked past me with what I want to say is tears, but you know Lloyd wouldn't let anyone see him cry so I can't exactly be to sure. I think you should go look after him."
If I knew Cole, this was not only his attempt to help a friend, but also to get Lloyd and I closer. I must say, I respect his attempts, even with everything he's going through.
Before I can even reply, Coles gone. Luckily, I knew exactly where to find Lloyd.
I make my way to the staircase, entering the lower part of the boat. The staircase creaks under my weight, and I haistly march my way to the last room down the hall. It was dark, dusty.
The room itself appeared as gloomy as Lloyd.
As I approach the doorway, you can faintly hear Lloyd muffled cries. Its almost like her forcing himself to be quiet.
I knock on the door, gently not to startle him as I open it up, leaning on the doorway.
His eyes are accompanies with the redness leafy from his crying. I don't say anything, but walk over to him as he clumsily stands up, shipping his face dry.
I wrap my hands around him, holding him tightly as his head burrows into my neck.
"What's wrong? Are you alright?"
"He's gone.. and he's never coming back."
His response is shakey, muffled, and then he pulls out of the hug.
"Morro.. while you where busy with the Preeminent, he took me to the different realms, he tried to leave me there."
I can feel my blood boil. Sure Morro because a good guy, but to attempt to get rid of Lloyd, it made me mad.
"I didn't mind, I could always find a way back, but then he took me to the cursed realm. He took me to see my father."
I could already tell where this was going, but I let him continue.
