"Mew, are you free tomorrow?"

"Yes, Gulf. "

"I am really sorry for this but my mother wants to meet you."

"WHAT?"

"I know this is sudden and not something we had agreed upon but she's relentless. She came to know about this from her friends who apparently saw us together. And-"

"Are you serious right now?" Mew screamed in surprise.

Gulf tried to keep his voice even and not let the irritation show, "Yes, I am. Are you shouting at me, Mr.Suppasit?"

Mew blanched at Gulf's tone. He sounded pissed off and Mew wasn't sure he was ready to face that so he fibbed, "No. There's lot of traffic here so I had to shout."

"Okay, be ready by 3. I'll pick you up."

"Ok-" Before Mew could finish Gulf had cut the call.

Mew wanted to call him back and shout at him but that wouldn't serve any purpose. He was freaking out regarding tomorrow's meeting. How could he meet Gulf's mother? He had never thought it would escalate so quickly. He had somehow made his brothers understand this relationship and now he had to act in front of Gulf's mother? He hated lying to people and deceiving someone's parents seemed awful.

"Mew, what's wrong? Why do you look like you're gonna hang yourself?" Off questioned in what seemed like suspiciously cheerful tone.

"Why do you look so happy while asking me that? Do you want me dead?"

"Of course not. I mean not yet. You've to pay me back for pizza from last weekend."

"You ate most of it. I'm not paying for what you ate."

"You ate m-"

"I only ate few pepperoni and tomatoes. I'll pay for them." Mew said with a straight face making Off crack up.

"Okay now on serious note what's troubling you? Did something happen with Gulf?"

"He wants me to meet his mother tomorrow afternoon."

"Seriously? Isn't it too soon? I thought you guys would just pretend for six months and then break up. I didn't know families were going to be involved in this. "

"Me neither, Off. That's why I'm feeling uneasy. I didn't expect to meet his family. Neither am I gonna let him meet mine. I thought it will be just us but this seems too real now."

"You'll be out of his life after six months."

"Exactly, that's why I don't want to lie to people that have nothing to do with this. I don't want to get close to them while deceiving them."

"Mew, I understand where you're coming from but I'm sure Gulf had thought of what to do. Don't worry needlessly over this. Did you already tell Kit and Sarawat?"

"Yes, Sarawat had apparently heard someone talking about Gulf and me so I had to tell them. I only told them that I was dating Gulf."

"Are you sure about this? You still won't tell them the truth?"

"No. Neither would you if you know what's good for you." Mew said in a menacing voice.

"You really don't look scary at all with a kitty on your lap and bunny ears on your head."

"Hey, she has a name. Don't you dare call her kitty."

"She's my cat. Who the hell named her?"

"I did."

"Why? Who gave you right to do that?"

"She deserves a name. Everyone deserves a name. Can you imagine how utterly devastating it must be to be called kitty all the time? CAN YOU?"
