It had been two weeks since that dating rumor was published and Gulf hadn't called even once to explain anything. Mew had been inclined to call him but refrained himself. No matter how busy Gulf was he should have at least justified himself. This one month had been really hard for him. Their relationship was new and they had finally managed to reach this point after so much had happened. He wasn't over the insecurities yet and though he knew very well how much Gulf loved and cared about him, still he couldn't be sure that Gulf wouldn't leave him in future.

That sort uncertainty plagues every relationship, no matter the amount of trust and love, there's always a small doubt whether they would last or not. And Mew desperately wants this relationship to last because for him Gulf was everything, he was practically family for him just like Kit and Sarawat. In a way he had become so dependent on Gulf that even thought of leaving him was scary. Mew knew that even if he got angry with Gulf he would never leave him. No matter the problems they may face, he would always choose Gulf in the end. But was that true for Gulf as well? Would he always choose Mew?

Though he acted normal in front of his brothers and friends, he was getting anxious day by day. He could hardly focus on anything, all he could think about was Gulf and Jessica. She's really pretty and competent woman. Who wouldn't fall for her? She was prefect sort of lover Gulf's family would expect to meet. Would they ever approve of him? Though Gulf's mother liked him and was really sweet to him but that was when they were boyfriends. Would she still approve if they decided to marry? Would Gulf marry him? Wouldn't they want someone who could carry on the family name? And wouldn't Gulf want someone who could give him a family?

Overthinking was one of his worst habit and he had been doing too much of that lately. He finally decided to give call to Gulf and clear everything. After 7 calls Gulf picked up, "Hello, Mew. Sorry I was in the meeting."

"It's okay. How are you?"

"I'm good just tired. What about you?"

"I'm fine." Mew was wondering how to bring up the topic of rumor. He had thought Gulf would clear it on his own.

"Did you have dinner?" Gulf asked.

"Yes, you?"

"Not yet. Will head out to eat now."

"Oh." The conversation grew stilted. Both didn't know what to say anymore.

"Don't you you anything to tell me?" Mew asked.

"No. Why?"

"Nothing. Will talk later. Bye." Mew hanged up the phone in anger.

How could Gulf act so nonchalant. He should have cleared the misunderstanding but instead he was acting like everything was fine. First Gulf didn't even bother to call him and when he made the first move, Gulf was like everything is okay. He didn't even care to ask him what was wrong or didn't even tell him why he hadn't called for 2 weeks. Mew sobbed in frustation and anger. He felt really weak and pathetic right now. Here he was crying for Gulf who wasn't even affected by any of this. This distance was killing him but Gulf seemed completely fine. Maybe he was happy to be away from Mew.

Anger often leads to some stupid decisions just like in Mew's case. He wanted Gulf to feel even ounce of what he was going through. So in fit of anger he decided to make Gulf jealous and that turned into more than he had bargained for. He called Kale and went partying with him and his friends. Kale was a really nice guy and he genuinely liked Mew. He had crush on Mew when they first met but when Mew told him he had a boyfriend, Kale decided to back off and just maintain their friendship.

Though Kale had never confessed, Mew knew Kale had crush on him and was happy when the guy didn't pursue it any further because he genuinely liked Kale as a friend. That's why it was really selfish and a bit cruel of him to be giving the guy false hope by claiming he and Gulf had broken up. He had only said that in fit of anger when Kale had asked about that dating scandal. After getting sober he should have corrected it immediately but he didn't.

He had been going out with Kale a lot in next two months. They went studying to book cafes daily and even were partners in some of the semester projects, though these all were fairly innocent friend things but Mew kinda crossed the line when he started going to restaurants, parks, movie theater with Kale on fairly regular basis. He would post their pics on his Instagram almost daily with some sweet caption. Those would have been normal outings if Kale didn't buy him flowers like on a date though they didn't clarify it as one yet.

But it was obvious that Kale thought Mew liked him back and now that he thought Mew was single so he was really happy to be spending so much time with his crush. All Mew could think of that Gulf must be really jealous right now and would finally understand how he had felt. In all this revenge thing he didn't even stop to think about poor Kale whom he was setting for heartbreak. Even he knew he was being childish and immature about all this. That's not how you solve problems in relationship but Gulf was his first serious boyfriend so everything was new to him.

Kale was over moon because he thought Mew liked him back. What else could he ask for? His crush was almost his boyfriend. Sometimes Mew referred to him as soulmate on social media and that made him happy. He loved buying flowers for Mew and taking him to movies and dinner. Mew always made plans for them spend time together and they clicked loads of pics together. These months had been the best of his life and he couldn't wait to ask Mew to be his boyfriend.

He had been sad for Mew when he learnt that he had broken up with his boyfriend. He knew how much Mew loved him. He hadn't expected Mew to show interest in him like this after breaking up recently but thought maybe he needed to distract himself from pain so he agreed to help him move on. They had grown closer in these two months and he was genuinely grateful to have met Mew.
