chapter 16

Aaron pov
She walked in and took me out. We went behind the house. She set me down and started talking to the dogs. She looked down and at me. I zoned out and my eyes shut. I felt my body hit the ground. Then I felt her hands on my body. On on my chest and the other on my forehead.
"Aaron?" She asked, "Aaron please wake up. Please Aaron please."
By now her voice started to Crack and you could hear her crying. I'm trying to open my eyes. Trying to move my body. I'm some way. In a way just to show her im OK. She gripped my hand.
"Aaron don't leave me," she cried, "I can't live without you. Please I love you. Please don't go. Aaron please."
I felt her forehead push against mine. It killed me. I was trying so hard. My body was numb. I felt her tears drip onto me.
"Aaron please," she begged, "please Aaron. I love you so much. Please don't go. Aaron I'm begging you. Baby please."
Oh yes. Finally. I opened my eyes and hers were squeezed shut. Her hands went to my cheeks and I leaned into her. I took my hand and put it against hers. She jerked up and looked at me. She wrapped her arms around my neck.
"I thought you died,' she cried.
"I'm...ok," I coughed, "I love you so much baby girl. So much."
She cried into my shoulder. I rubbed her back. She stayed in my arms and helped me sit up. I sat against a tree. She pulled back and looked me in the eyes.
"I love you," I smiled.
"I love you too," she sniffed.
I gently put my hand on the back of her head and pushed it back to my shoulder. I lifted her up and set her on my lap. I held her tight and I held her close. I wasn't letting go. I will stay up all night just to make sure that she is OK.
Emma pov
He pushed my head back to his shoulder after exchanging I love you's. He picked me up and set him on his lap.
"Go on to sleep beautiful," he whispered, "go ahead."
"What about you?" I asked.
"I'll be fine," he sighed, "just get some rest. Everything will be fine."
"You need it though," I leaned back.
He shook his head, "I'm OK. You just go to bed. Trust me. I'll be right here when you wake up. I promise."
I smiled and he kissed me. He pushed my head back down to his shoulder and cradled me in his lap. I soon fell asleep. Right there in his arms. Safe and sound. Protected.

The barking woke me up. I tried to move my hands but I couldn't. I looked around and saw both dogs leased to a tree. I looked to the other side. Aaron was standing. He wouldn't move.
"Aaron?" I asked.
He looked at me and looked back. The three men came back over. They put a pice of rope around his neck. I screamed. They threw the other piece over the branch.
"No!" I screamed, "no! Don't hurt him!"
They all looked at me. I was burning up. I tried to move but I couldn't. I tried to get free but that wasn't possible. No no no no no. I watched them pull the rope tighter. I screamed more. They laughed and Aaron looked over at me. A tear fell down his cheek.
"Please stop it!" I kept screaming
I tried to break the rope but I was to weak. I barely eat anything anymore. His feet came off the ground he struggled. I screamed.
"Emma!" Aaron shouted, "Emma baby its ok."
I shot up out of bed and wrapped my arms around him. I was crying. My heart was racing a mile a minute.
"Sh," He rocked me back and forth, "it's OK. It's ok."
The tears kept rolling down my cheeks. I kept my arms around him. I was scared to death.
