Before we get into methods, let's talk about shifting symptoms. 2020 TikTok made us believe it was necessary to have symptoms in order to shift. I'm here to say it's not true. You can of course shift without having any symptoms or without having any symptoms anymore.
Among these symptoms there's numbness, the feeling of falling, feeling like the room or you are spinning, feeling like you're floating, accelerated heartbeat, twitching, jerking, seeing flashing lights... Yeah, there are some weird symptoms, but be not afraid, shifting is still safe.
In my experience I have only gotten some minor symptoms at the beginning of my journey. My body was twitching, my heart was beating like crazy once,
before I knew what symptoms were and got freaked out by it and last but not least feeling like my leg was moving on its own or more like, well, jerking.I'm not really getting any symptoms anymore and that's totally okay. I was worried for a while, back when I thought shifting symptoms were necessary, but not anymore. Someone explained that it was actually normal. The most part of symptoms are just signs of your body falling asleep. As for the rest of them, it so happens that the more you shift, the more your body gets used to shifting, which is why you won't get symptoms after a certain period or time. If you still get symptoms as a "master shifter" that's totally okay too.
The tricky thing with symptoms, is that you have to learn to work with them. If you get symptoms, you have to try your best to ignore them, even if it seems like it's almost impossible. Don't deny them though, acknowledge them and then try to concentrate on whatever you are doing.
