Breaks

If you are new to shifting, there might come a time when you will feel desperate to shift. You've tried all the methods you can think of, you've listened to everyone's advice and pushed yourself to try and shift every day, if not even more than once a day. I am not denying that working with this kind of determination can actually be helpful, however it is more harmful than it is helpful in most cases. Be kind to yourself and allow yourself to rest.

Now, breaks can last as long as you want them to. They can last a week, a month, a few months, even a year. It all depends on you and your needs. Nevertheless you shouldn't try shifting every night, as it is energetically draining and it only contributes to your obsession.

I would personally recommend you to take a break as soon as you realize you are obsessing over shifting. Being too clingy of your DR won't help you get there. If anything, it will have the exact opposite effect.

Maybe you didn't expect this, but many people have shifted DURING their breaks, because they weren't trying at all. They still wanted to shift though, but they didn't stress themselves about it.
