"Eden?" Draco waved his hand in front of her face, snapping her out of her gaze. She had been staring at Ron eat for the entire dinner, and she didn't want people to start noticing.

"Oh, sorry." Said Eden, chuckling a little before picking at her food. She hadn't wanted to come down for dinner, but her brother wasn't going to let her skip it.

"You've been staring at the Gryffindor table for a while. Everything okay?" He asked, raising his eyebrows and shrugging off Pansy's hand she had just placed on his shoulder.

"Off, pugface."

Eden smiled and looked back over at Ron, who was looking at her this time. She smiled timidly before taking her first bite of food. Ron nodded over to her before winking, which made her stomach flip over a couple times.

Eden turned back to the conversation.

"I broke it off with Castor, which means we can be together now, baby." She cooed, making puppy-dog eyes at Draco. He scoffed and looked back over at his younger sister.

"Did you hear anything?" He smirked. Eden pretended like she could see right through Pansy, as though she wasn't there.

"I heard nothing. Did you hear anything?"

"I didn't hear anything. What about you?"

"You guys are annoying." Blaise laughed. He was a man of few words, so hearing him join the conversation had even Pansy's spirits high.

They laughed for a while, and even Pansy shared a few jokes with Eden.

Blaise, Eden, Pansy and Draco went to bed with warm cheeks and full stomachs. She hadn't seen Castor since Astoria came back, in fact, no one had seen Castor. He hadn't come to meals, to lessons, or back to the common room. It was like he disappeared.

"Well, goodnight all." Whispered Blaise, tip-toeing up to the boy's dorms'.

"Night." Said Pansy and Eden simultaneously. They both crept up to bed, not wanting to wake Astoria, who was fast asleep in her bed.

As Eden was climbing into her own bed, she remembered that she slept in the Gryffindor rooms now. She packed up her stuff to leave.

"Where are you going?" Pansy asked suspiciously, getting into her bed next to Astoria's. Eden opened the door quietly.

"None of your business. Goodnight." She crept down the staircase, into the corridor and was shocked when she was hit by the cold.

The only thing she had put on at the dorm was a loose house t-shirt and some fluffy pajama shorts.

She clutched herself as she ran down the hall, not wanting to get caught by Filch, and not wanting to freeze herself.

Eden soon got to the portrait, who was fast asleep. She cleared her throat quietly.

"Oh, goodness! Who are you?" The Fat Lady raised an oil-painted eyebrow.

"I'm a friend of Ron's. I even have the password. 'Abstinence." Eden said tiredly. The Fat Lady had let her in many times.

"Oh alright. Only because it's dark and cold." She fussed, petting the curls on the top of her head in the mirror behind her.

"Thank you." Eden said gratefully, and the Fat Lady's eyes welled up with tears. It occured to Eden that no one might have said 'thank you' to her for doing her job.

"You go on to bed, now." The Fat Lady said, the portrait swinging open to reveal a passageway.

Eden did just that. She walked into the warm Common room and sighed with relief.
