Before I end this story, I want to say thank you. I am eternally grateful for the lot of you who have given me a space to insure my writing. I want to thank you all for treating this story with such care, and giving me a platform to share my ideas and imagination.
Now will you all put away any distractions while I take you through the ending of our beloved story.
Eden trembled as she read the last words over and over again.
This was it.
If she hadn't died six months ago, she would definitely go tonight.
For the first time in half a year, she let her mind wander. She let it wander to Ron, sending a message into the universe and hoping that he got it just in time.
"I love you."
Eden was sure as hell not going to stick around in Potions class while a war was about to go down in about three hours. She needed to find Draco. Quickly.
She didn't say anything to the Professor about leaving, but this was so much bigger than a little note-taking.
It will be war.
Eden hurried through the empty halls, trying to recall which way Draco had gone after her scene with Gemma before class.
Was it left?
Straight?
Upstairs?
Eden wandered around until she bumped into someone and stumbled back a little.
"Eden?"
"Draco?" Eden couldn't believe her luck.
"Did you get the letter?" She asked urgently, searching his tired eyes.
"Well that's why I was trying to find you. I mean, it's happening now, isn't it?" He asked, scared. She nodded after some hesitation.
"We have to go to the cabinet." She said, starting to walk in the direction she hoped was the way to the Room of Requirement.
"Wait. You can't be serious. We need to go get someone! Mcgonagall, hell even Snape. We can't let them in." He said, grabbing her wrist.
Eden turned around.
"We are not human beings to them, Draco. We are there to fight for them. We knew that when we were made one of them. It is our duty that we must keep." She tugged him along with her, even though they both knew it was the end.
It didn't matter whether they fought on the school's side of Voldemort's. They would be dead, if not literally, then emotionally.
This was too much for two kids to handle.
Draco, after figuring out where they were, was able to guide them to the RoR, having been there many times.
They walked past it once. Eden's heart felt like it did on that night.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
After the fourth time of walking past it, a magnificent black door appeared on the previously bare wall.
They opened it and were met with shock.
All around them were the missing students. Eden could see Ginny Weasley, tending to someone's black eye. She could see Dean Thomas, talking grimly to Seamus Finnigan, who had a sling over one arm. All around them were students in hammocks hanging high up. It looks like they have been staying here for months.
