This chapter has a major trigger warning.
Eden sat in her room in the darkness.
She had missed all of her classes today.
It has been 2 and a half weeks since Ron.
She winced at the thought of him.
Eden glanced outside at the moonlight. It shone through the half-closed curtains, and you could see the dust particles in the air.
She looked back down and fiddled with her hands.
Then, a knock came from the door.
"Come in." She said weakly.
Draco entered before shutting the door behind her. She looked up at him, surprised. He cleared his throat awkwardly before sitting down next to her.
"How are you?" He asked, taking his shoes and suit jacket off and laying back.
Eden laid back as well and rested her head on his shoulder.
"I'm okay."
He put his arm around her and brushed her hair with his fingers.
"I've known you for 17 years, Eden. I know when you're lying." He chuckled. Eden wraps her arms around him and sighs.
"Why are you like this? I mean, you couldn't possibly be actually in love with Potter, you don't care about the war or anything like that, so what's wrong?" He spoke into her dirty hair.
How could she possibly tell him?
"There's nothing you can do about it." She shrugged. She wanted to have this one moment. One moment where she could just be, and not be bombarded by her own thoughts. One moment where she wished this would all just end.
"But if you told me, maybe I could help-." He started but she cut him off.
"Don't start acting like a brother now." She got off of his chest and went into the bathroom.
"Oh don't even. You're the one who does nothing but lay around all day and expect everyone to feel sorry for you!" He shouted.
Eden cupped her hands and filled them with ice-cold water. She put her wet hands on the sides of the sink before replying.
"No, I don't want you to feel sorry for me." She shouted through the open door.
"I want you to quit acting like you care when you so obviously do not." She dried her face before walking back into her bedroom.
Everyone was at dinner, so her dorm was empty except for her and Draco.
"Oh now I'm acting like I care? You were the one who basically ignored me when you met Castor!" Draco shouted back.
Eden spun around and stuck a finger into his chest.
"I was the one who got dropped. The first year you went to this school, you met Blaise, and Pansy, and Astoria, and Daphne and him. I was the one who cried to mum every night because my big brother found a better best friend than me!" She pushed her finger harder into his chest and he was forced to back up.
"I only found those friends because you couldn't bear to be seen with me. I tried, Eden. I tried. But you are always so difficult! I think you got dad's personality."
Eden backed up. Why would he say that to her?
Draco wasn't done. He won't stop until he's tasted blood.
"You always victimize yourself. You know, maybe, Eden, other people can have problems too. Sometimes-, no, you are always in the wrong."
This time, he stepped closer as she stepped back.
