"At talagang large fries pa yang binili mo ha?" Kuya miguel said nang makabalik ako sa kanila, "There's this guy keeps on bothering me" I said out of nowhere because I'm confused as hell right now bakit ba ginagawa yun ni Eli? I mean wala pang isang araw na magkakilala kami. "Yung lalaki ba yan sa library?" Khiera said and she sounds so serious right now, when it comes in observing people I trust her the most. "Yes, he keeps bothering me. I mean not literally bothering me palagi lang sya sumusulpot and it's getting weird.
"Baka gusto lang talaga makipag kaibigan sayo?" Kuya Hiro said while munching my fries, kinuha ko naman ito and I just rolled my eyes. Baka nga gusto lang makipag kaibigan sakin, after our long chitchat with my friends ay napag pasyahan na naming umuwi it's already 6:30pm and I need to go home I know no one is waiting for me sa bahay but I have a lot of papers to review. "You sure you really don't want to stay in our house?" Khiera asked "I won't yet" I said, she really want me to stay in their house since my parents died her mom really wants to adopt me so I stayed with them for almost 1 year and decided to move back in our house dahil mas gusto kong umuwi sa bahay namin. "Mom wants you back in our house" Khiera said and I didn't bother to answer dahil alam nya naman na aayaw ako sa gusto nya. "Hatid ko na kayo" Kuya Miguel said while flexing his new car, "san mo naman ninakaw yan pre?" Kuya Hiro said, "binenta ko lang naman yung kidney ko" Kuya Miguel, we just all laughed at sumakay na lang kami. "Diba may sasakyan ka din Tin?" Kuya Miguel asked. "Yes, but I'm too lazy to drive, and besides andyan ka naman para ihatid kami so why bother to bring my car diba?" I said and we just all laughed, sana ganito nalang palagi. What if my parents didn't die? Will I still be able to smile genuinely?
After a long drive I'm already home I just bid a goodbye with my friends at pumasok na sa bahay as usual I just wash up and wear my pajamas, hindi na ako kumain pa dahil madami naman akong nakain kanina after cleaning up I just decided to review dahil nga malapit na lang ang finals namin and I cannot afford to fail, but after a few minutes ay nakatulala lang ako sa study table ko, my brain normally shuts down every night.
I just decided to open my social media and I just saw that Elicton followed me on Instagram and dahil di naman ako famous so I followed him back at dahil nasa instagram lang din naman ako naka tambay ay nag post na lang din ako, I just took a picture of my desk with a caption "got lot of work to do" after I posted that pic lots of my mutuals liked my picture but Elicton commented "willing to help" I just ignored it kulang ata to sa pansin, for sure pag nakita to nila Khiera ay tatadtarin nanaman ako nila ng tanong, After a few minutes of wasting my time I decided to review my notes I can't help but to think about Brent, he must be busy right now I want to call him but I choose not to dahil baka nakaka abala ako sa kanya.
Hours passed and I'm so tired and sleepy matutulog na sana ako when someone called me after I check who the caller is just made me frowned, it was my aunt. I just answered my phone kahit labag sa loob ko.
"Tin? How are you?" My aunt
"I'm fine, anong kailangan mo?"
"Really? You don't even call me tita?"
Tsk, am I obliged to call you tita?
"So anong kailangan mo tita?" I said sarcastically
"You really don't want me to take over your mom's business? And even your dad's company?" She said and I saw that coming, all of my relatives wants to take care of me dahil nga sa mga negosyo na naiwan ng mga magulang ko sa akin, I am currently the one who's handling my mom's Cafe and Kuya Hiro's family are the one who's taking care of my Dad's company I know naman na mapagkakatiwalaan sila Kuya Hiro that's why I let them took over my Dad's company and they even treat me as their daughter kaya medyo galit ang pamilya ko sa kanila but they don't mind it naman.
"I told you tita wala kayong makukuha sakin so cut that crap, hindi nyo nga ako naalala nung nawala ang mga magulang ko, you guys even let me na hindi ko kadugo ang mag alaga sa akin, let's cut ties after this call, sorry for being rude but I'm hanging up my phone." I said with all my strength. This day is so tiring I really need to sleep.
I woke up so early and get ready for school, I was about to wear my uniform when Khiera called me.
"Oh napatawag ka?" I said
"Wow gandang bungad ha?"
"Ba't ka nga napatawag?"
"San ka? Alis tayo"
"Nasa bahay, san naman pupunta? Diba may pasok ngayon?"
"Bobo ka ba Saturday ngayon"
After she said that ay dali dali kong chineck ang calendar and tama nga sya Saturday ngayon, potek naman edi sana di ako nag puyat ng review kahapon.
"Ay hahaha sorry bobo lang, so saan nga tayo pupunta?"
"Book store samahan mo ako bibili ng libro" she said at napangiti naman ako sa sinabi nya
"Okay I'll go bring my car, susunduin na lang kita dyan sa bahay nyo" I said dahil nasa mood akong mag drive ngayon.
After a long drive ay nakarating na din ako sa bahay ni Khiera and it feels like home, her mom welcomed me and as usual tulog pa din ang kapatid nya after a few minutes na paghihintay ko sa kanya ay naka alis na din kami. "You look so extra today huh? Sabi ko book store lang eh" bungad ni Khiera habang ngumunguya ng beng beng kala mo hindi college, and what's wrong with my outfit? I'm wearing white tank top and light blue denim jeans paired with my white jordan that kuya Hiro's mom gave me I just brought my white long sleeve polo incase na lamigin ako mamaya while Khiera is wearing white polo crop top and skater skirt partnered it with run star hike converse. "As if naman ikaw hindi bihis na bihis?" I answered. "You exposed too much skin today, pag talaga nakita tayo ni Miguel patay ka talaga sa kanya" she said as if naman na makikita namin sila doon, dahil sa kaka sermon nya sakin ay di ko namalayan na malapit na lang pala kami, after I parked my car I just get my tote bag at iniwan ang polo ko since medyo mainit naman so I won't bother to wear that shitty polo that I brought.
As we enter the book store it feels like heaven for us, those addicting scent of books seems hypnotizing, pero bago pa kami mahimatay sa tuwa ay pumunta na si Khiera sa Med section actually accountancy talaga yung kurso nya it's just that she really want to be a doctor but they cannot afford to pay for the Med School so her parents decided to enroll her for accountancy I want to help her or let her lend some money from my Dad's bank account but she really insist not to so hindi ko na pinilit pa all I can do is to support her.
At dahil nabagot ako kakahintay kay Khiera ay nag libot na din ako, she went here for academic purposes so I guess para sa hobby ko naman ang pinunta ko dito, I just saw some of the most famous novels here and I really want to buy them but I have no time to read them dahil nga finals na, after a few seconds of strolling I saw their manga sections that makes me very excited dahil nga isa akong malaking fan ng manga I saw my favorite manga titled "We never learn" at nag iisa na lang ito but I cannot reach it dahil nga sa pinaka taas ito ng shelf I was about to jump but someone took the manga from the upper shelf and hindi ko napigilan mainis. "Reaching the book with that top of yours will draw lots of attention miss" a familiar voice welcomed me from my back, "oh it's you Valentine? Didn't expect that you like wearing spicy outfits" he said while staring at me "well didn't expect you like reading manga, I found it first so mind giving it to me? It's just that matangkad ka lang sakin" I said at hindi ko napigilan na tumaas ng konti ang aking boses.
"Well let me read this first and I'll give it to you bukas, don't be mad Valentine" he said and slightly tap my head, ano akala nya sakin aso? And did I heard him chuckled? What the hell why am I blushing? Tsk. I think I need to talk to Brent after this, pahamak talaga si Khiera.
"Tin? Kanina pa kita tinatawag dyan, magbabayad na ako may napili kana ba dyan?" Khiera said and hindi ko namalayan na nasa tabi ko na pala sya "A-ah? Wala may tinitignan lang ako, tara magbayad na tayo" sabi ko at tinalikuran sya sana naman hindi nya nahalata na namumula ako. Pag dating namin sa cashier ay nagulat ako na andun pa pala si Elicton, tangina akala ko naman mabubunutan na ako ng tinik sa lalamunan hindi pa pala, I just prayed na sana hindi pa nya kami makita but I was wrong, he was about to leave the book store but he looked back "See you in school miss Valentine" he said and winked at me, that jerk!! He don't really want to leave me alone!
