Mail carrier's POV:
I am doing my usual rounds delivering the mail. I see something for Adrien Agreste. It is a long-distance note.
"Mr. Agreste," I call out to him.
"Yes, sir?"
"Here you go."
"Thanks, Mr. Blockins."
"You are so welcome, Adrien Agreste."
"Now, you have a great day."
"I will and same to you."
I smile as I continue to deliver the rest of the mail.
What about Adrien's mail made him smile?
Most of the time, he does not look at it until he gets inside but frowns once he sees it.
I do not think I have seen him this happy in years.
I see him wave at me from the porch as I circle back around to make my way out of the culdesac.
I head home.
I tell my wife all about today.
"Well, dear, it seems Adrien has some friends after all."
"I do believe you are right, my darling."
the story continues in Chapter 6
until then,
bye-bye, little owlets!
