It's always a bliss folding
Paper to make a boat,
When it comes out as I wished
I felt pretty proud and dote.

Sometimes when folds went
wrong & the boat collide,
All mine hopes scattered
Mourned sorrowfully I cried.

Next morning buckled up
Again with little more zest,
Careful with each fold & it
Turned out best from the rest.

But then comes the tragedy
I made it with news paper,
It's fragile and sinked into
The shallow murky water.

Tearing pages from notebook
Was the most criminal deed,
Mom'll pull off my ears from
My head with lightning speed.

As always dad my saviour came
With a better rescue plan,
Found some old calendars it
Increased my boats life span.

I was so happy when I chased
It with the running water,
When the others left behind
I cheered my boat stronger.
