Ran back home hastily when I entered
Redolent fragrance of incense sticks
felt so inviting to my nostrils.
Tiny deep lit under courtyard brinda
the aalpona adorned at the doorway.

Still swing at the porch missed the
precious presence of the owner.
Freshly made mango leaves torana was
so green like telling me that you cross
the doorway and you'll be safe inside.

Mother's festive-fest patisapta
with hot jaggery syrup aroma traveled
to the living room made me super hungry.
Clothes were all dirty, we played sand
castles on the sand-stack of our neighbour.

Before washing up standing stubbornly
in front of mom for a bite and after many
requests finally received a morsel
from mom's hand what a triumph it was.
Surly kid became the most obedient
without any hassle in a split of a second.
