Hurry!! it's gonna be summer
again in few more days,
I was so very excited for my
vacation which comes in may.
Visiting grandma most probably
for three or four weeks.
Mind is working with rocket
speed, eagerness at it's peak.
What to pack and what to left
behind couldn't decide,
Afraid of making mom crazy
with my extra bag rules applied.
Yellow mangoes mouthwatering
pulpy, juicey, yummy super nice,
Should I tell grandma to make Me
mango shake or eat them sliced?
Should I ask her to add some
cashew nut or maybe walnut!!
It's so confusing! But I believe
milk & ice will do to warm-heart.
bed time cute fairy tales which
always end happily ever after,
My curiosity kept analyzing the
theme and characters further.
Tasting the vintage collection of my
grandma's mango jam and pickle,
Was the highlight of my whole
vacation the flavour just magical.
Chirping bird's like quarrelling
over who's gonna wake me up.
Growled my hungry stomach for the
aromatic pancake with jaggery syrup.
Breakfast never tasted heaven though
I wasn't complaining mom's also fine,
Licking fingers considered gross
but the satisfaction I couldn't define.
Playing all day carefreely under the
scorching sun was so much fun,
Hide and seek hopscotch was the
games I liked oh! I forgot the tag run.
The day approached of returning
home my heart drowned in grief,
Teary-eyes sobbing clammy hands
clinging to grandma like dear life.
And finally the most prettiest words
reached my ears "I'm accompaning".
My agony vanished like a mirage bliss
replaced in abundance heartening.
