A/N: Umm Hi :)

I woke up to Hunter shaking my shoulder. "Wake up. The plane landed. Time to get off the plane and get our stuff,"he said. We exited the plane and waited for our luggage. We looked around and didn't find our bags. We approached customer service and asked the woman working there if she could locate luggage with our names on them. We gave her our names and she went to check for our luggage. She came back holding two purple duffels in each hand.Neither of them were mine. I noticed my name embedded on two of them and Hunter's on the others. I glanced at Hunter as if silently asking him if those were his. He understood and shook his head.

"Here you go,"the woman said handing us the duffels. "Aspen and Hunter right?" We nodded. As Hunter and I walked away out of the corner of my eye I saw someone waving at me. It was a girl. She was holding two purple duffels like us. I looked over at Hunter and saw that he noticed too.

"Should we go see who she is?" I ask.

"Well she has the exact same bag as us. It must mean something." I felt very nervous as we approached her. Who is she? Is she an Anomaly too? I wonder. I examine the duffel a little closer. There was a symbol of an eye embedded near my name. I look over at Hunter's bag and see that he has it too.

"Hi," the girl says. "My name's Emma. I'm an Anomaly. I can totally tell you guys are too by your Hippoplum duffel bags." Oh that explains a lot. But this Emma girl is obviously a liar. She has green eyes. As if Hunter read my mind, which he probably did if you think about it, he said,"How can you be an Anomaly? You have green eyes. That's impossible."

Emma pointed to her eyes and said,"Have you ever heard of contacts?! DUH!" Okay seriously this girl is way too perky, but she has a point. All my life I've been hiding and all I could've done was wear contacts to conceal my eye color. I could've lived a normal life. She has a point. I jumped. I forgot Hunter and I could speak with telepathy. Yeah she does, I replied. Should we trust her? Well she did have a Hippoplum duffel, and she's the one who brought up being an Anomaly in the first place, so I guess we should. Yes. We should. She's one of us.

"Okay um why won't you guys stop staring at each other?" Emma asked. I blushed. We were so busy mentally talking about Emma that we forgot she was even there. Hunter started to say,"It's this weird min-"

"We were having a staring contest!" I interrupted. No we shouldn't tell her until we know for sure that it's normal. "Where are we supposed to go anyway?" I wondered.

"There's a brochure in our duffels that has instructions on what we have to do," Emma clarified. I unzipped my duffel bag and sure enough, there was a brochure lying on top of a pile of clean school uniforms that I suppose are mine. The cover said WELCOME HIPPOPLUM FIRST YEARS. I opened up the brochure and there was a list of directions, a map of the school, and a list of school supplies which apparently were in my other duffel bag. The first instruction was:

1. Exit the plane Done.

2.Retrieve luggage. Two Hippoplum bags will be provided at the airport with school uniforms and supplies. Original luggage will be in your room at Hippoplum already. Well that would've been nice to know earlier.

3. Go to the bus stop next to parking lot H. Okay. We exited the airport and walked past parking lots A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. When we finally arrived at H, we were all out of breath from walking so much, but I spotted the bus stop and felt a rush of energy as I walked quickly towards it. Emma and Hunter followed. I looked down at the list and realized there was no number four. Then, as if it read my mind, a new direction appeared on the paper.

4. Place one hand on the bus stop pole and hold on! Hold on? What was that supposed to mean? We all placed one hand on the pole like we were instructed and suddenly we went plummeting down into the ground, faster than a bullet, but strangely it didn't feel as fast as it really was. We were still holding on to the pole, our hands still on it as if they were glued there. We came to a sudden stop. Hunter looked queasy and Emma looked ecstatic, her dirty blond curls bouncing in excitement.

"That was AWESOME!" she exclaimed. I looked around and realized that we were at a subway station. The subway said HIPPOPLUM METRO on the side. There were girls and boys my age and older all entering the subway. I peeked at the list and saw that another instruction appeared.

5. Board the HIPPOPLUM METRO. "C'mon guys. We're supposed to go on the subway," I said. We climbed the steps to the door when a man stopped us. "Ticket please," he commmanded. We all glanced at each other all thinking the same thing. None of us had tickets. The man's laugh bellowed when he realized we were confused.

"You must be first years,"he said.

"Yes sir. That is precisely correct," Emma said.

"Well then you must not have looked closely at the directions on your pamphlet." We all looked as another instruction appeared.

6. Your pamphlet is your ticket. Give it to Mr.Elmer We all looked up ashamed that we didn't pay closer attention. The man leaned down and whispered,"In case you're wondering, I'm Mr.Elmer." We all laughed. It eased the nervousness in my stomach that I didn't know I had until now. We boarded the HIPPOPLUM METRO and Hunter and Emma sat next to me. We didn't know anybody else yet so in the meantime, we might as well stick together.

An old man was coming around handing out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Of course, I thought. The one thing I'm allergic to. When he got to me, I was about to protest when he said,"Oh Aspen Grace right? Yes, you're allergic to peanuts." Then he handed me a salami sandwich with cream cheese, my favorite. How did he know that? That was weird. I looked out the window and noticed that it was empty. That must mean everyone was on. The subway lurched forward and started moving.Hunter had peanut butter all over his face, and made Emma and I laugh. Then the weirdest thing I have ever seen happened. The subway flew straight through the ground, and then it turned into a bus and landed on a road and nobody driving nearby even noticed. Hunter looked at me wide-eyed , peanut butter still on his face and now in his light brown hair. "This just keeps getting better and better!" Emma exclaimed.

"Um excuse me, can I sit with you guys?" a tall boy with messy black hair asked.

"Sure," Hunter and Emma replied at the same time. The boy looked confused.

"I'm Will," he said,"Will Edwards. I'm a first year, even though I'm tall." We introduced ourselves and said we were first years too. "This is pretty exciting, don't you think?" Will remarked.

"YEAH!" Emma exclaimed,"I can't wait to see who my roommate is."

"Me too," Will said, striking up a conversation with Emma about classes and roommates. I looked out the window watching other cars drive by. I wondered what Hippoplum would look like. Would it be big and scary? Or just another typical school. As we approached Hippoplum, I realized, probably my first guess.

A/N: Well that was the third chapter. I hope it was good. Please comment what you thought of it. I want a totally honest opinion please. :)
