Celestial

chapter 4

As the bus came to a stop, everyone exited it and all the first years including myself stared at it in wonder. All the second years smirked at us as if saying been there done that. It was a castle. Huge and intimidating. Also in Sacramento.

"Excuse me. But how do people not notice any of this?" I asked the bus driver.

"It's concealed with magic called Fog," he said,"so only Celestials can see it." Then he walked away. What are Celestials, I wondered. A woman wearing a dark purple dress motioned to all the first years to follow her. We did. We crossed a long bridge leading to the castle's entrance. There was a huge field of fresh green grass with benches and tables. I could imagine Hunter, Emma, and I sitting there doing homework. And Will I thought. And Will.

The woman finally introduced herself. "I am Professor Nunes pronounced noons not noonez and I teach Gift Control. My class will be very important, especially this year since most of you have recieved your Gifts or will be recieving them soon, and you will need to learn how to use and control them. We will be entering the cafeteria shortly, after you have all been to your rooms and changed into your uniforms." Her purple eyes glinted. "Also, here we are not called Anomalys." Her face expressed disgust. "That is a name to put us down. No, here we are called Celestials." She smiled. Everyone cheered. So that's what a Celestial is. Oh okay. I think I can fit in here.

"OKAY first years listen up! I'm going to announce your rooms. When I call your name, you will come up and take your key. Now the trick is, these keys are enchanted. So the minute you hold it, it becomes yours and nobody can open your room with that key except you." Professor Nunes said. Everyone looked at each other in awe. Emma squealed and clapped her hands.

Professor Nunes started telling us who's in which room. Clarissa Myers and Suzanne Garfield in room one." They took their keys and excitedly ran off to find their room. "Will Edwards and Hunter James in room 23." They both high fived and went to get their keys. Before they left, Hunter turned to wave at me and Emma. We waved back.

Professor Nunes announced more names when she finally said,"Aspen Grace and......... Emma Waters in room 27." I sighed in relief and Emma squeezed me so hard I thought my lungs collapsed. We got our keys and we found that our room was on floor 2. Thankfully, the castle wasn't so ancient. It had elevators which meant not dragging our bags up two flights of stairs.

When we door opened to the second floor, I realized we were on the same floor as Will and Hunter. I mentioned this to Emma all she did was, of course, squeal. I unlocked the door with my key and as soon as the door opened, Emma raced inside. The room was huge on the inside. There were two queen sized beds, two desks, two wooden dressers with mirrors hanging above them, a large couch, and a small fireplace. The bathroom was very luxurious as well, having a large bathtub with jets, two sinks, and a shower with four faucets. I have a feeling that my stay here will be quite comfortable.
