A/N: LAST CHAPTER GUYS
"And those are the fifth year graduates of the class of 2015," Professor Milora announced. All the fifth years bowed as everyone applauded. I looked down at my blue dress that I bought earlier this year on our first shopping trip when everything was just fine. Now everything is fine again. If only Lynn were here...
After the graduation, we went to the end of the year party. It was being held in the cafeteria. When we walked in, a lot of random students I didn't even know came up to us and patted us on the back while thanking us. I looked at Hunter and Will in confusion. Their faces mirrored mine. They were confused as well. I saw Mr. Elmer smiling at us from the staff table and then walk over to us.
"I may or may not just have basically explained literally how you guys saved our butts and how we're still Celestials," Mr. Elmer stated grinning.
"I mean it's pretty impressive for a couple of first years," he continued.
"Thanks Mr. Elmer," Will said. I mumbled a thanks too, but now I felt sorta uncomfortable with the fact that people who don't even know me are calling me a hero. In my opinion, Lynn was the real hero.
All these people thanking us is really awkward, Hunter mentally said.
I know right, it makes me uncomfortable, I replied. He nodded in response. The only one who was really enjoying the attention was Will which was unexpected because he's actually pretty shy and quiet around people he's not close to.
"Let's just go eat guys," I said to Will and Hunter. We sat by Riley who was sitting alone at a table. When she said Lynn was her best friend, that was because she was her only friend. She smiled when we sat down.
" Hey guys. So are you excited to be second years?" she asked us. We nodded. I eyed the pepperoni pizza a couple tables away. It must be mine. I shall have it. I shall also make social conversation and stop thinking about food like a weirdo.
"What about you?" I asked. "Are you excited to be a fourth year?"
"I mean, I guess. It's not going to be the same without Lynn," she sighed. "But I don't feel as sad about her death than I used to, thanks to your letter." She beamed at me. She really was happier. I'm glad to be one of the reasons why she isn't so sad about Lynn's death. Riley pushed her blue hair out of her face and took a bite of her artichoke and olive pizza. I wrinkled my nose at the pizza. Like I said. I'm not a veggie person.
Meanwhile, I ate four pepperoni pizzas. I patted my stomach in contentment. I just love the pizza here. It's like heaven on a plate. That was a very satisfying last meal.
"Woah Aspen you eat so much," Hunter said his mouth full of pizza. Have you ever noticed he always talks with his mouth full? He's such a pig.
"Hunter. You literally just ate seven pizzas," I said squinting at him in annoyance. "How are you not even fat?"
"Fast metabolism," he answered with once again, his mouth full. "It runs in the family." I rolled my eyes.
"You guys are so cute," Riley said laughing. Hunter blushed and stuffed his face with more pizza while I stared at my lap. Will glanced between the two of us nervously. Well, this is awkward. Riley looked at us and laughed again. Then she announced she needed to go to the restroom, so she got up and left.
"So uh, we should probably head back to our rooms to get our bags and then give our keys to Professor Nunes. We're leaving to the Hippoplum Metro soon," I said awkwardly.
"Um yeah, we probably should. Let's go Will," Hunter said just as equally awkward. Why is this so awkward? All Riley did was tease us. It's not like she meant it. I cringed just thinking about it.
