A/N: Can at least one person just comment what they think of my story and no River not you
I finished putting on my new school uniform, a purple plaid skirt with a light purple polo. Boys uniform is a dark purple polo and a light purple tie with black pants. I noticed that they really emphasize the purple. Emma and I headed downstairs to the cafeteria.
When we entered, it didn't even look like a cafeteria. It looked more like a fancy restaurant. We sat down at the table with Will and Hunter. Hunter was stuffing his face with pizza... topped with spaghetti. Emma made a face. Meanwhile, Will was strangely cutting his pizza into small squares using a fork and a knife, and he had a napkin on his lap. Professor Nunes was walking by and she stopped and remarked, "What a gentleman," to Will and winked at us as if to say, "That's not the way to eat pizza." She walked back to the staff table.
"I tried telling him that you eat pizza with your hands, but he insists that the 'polite' way to eat pizza was like that," Hunter said with his mouth full, spraying food everywhere. Will's face twisted in anger.
"Well look who's talking! You're eating pizza with spaghetti on top!" Will exclaimed.
"True," Emma and I remarked in unison. Professor Nunes quieted everyone down and said,"The Headmaster is ready to speak so hush!"
"Thank you Ann. Hello everyone. It's another year. How exciting! For those of you who don't know, I'm Professor Milora. Ingrid Milora, because for some reason everyone is always wondering what my first name is. First years I welcome you to Hippoplum and I hope you have some of the best years if your life at this school." Everyone applauded. "Also," she said shouting over the applause,"there will be no season of Hippal this year." Everyone groaned, except the first years who had confused looks on their faces. What's Hippal?
A girl tapped my shoulder. "First years right,"she said gesturing to us. We nodded. "Hippal is.... The best and strangest sport ever. You literally ride hippos- that are tamed of course, and at the same time you have a ball called the, well, Plum. You have to throw the Plum into the goal which is guarded by a hippo. You have to try to hit the goal before the hippo eats it." We all sat there gaping at her as if she were insane. I don't know what to make of this school anymore.
"If you think I'm crazy, talk to Professor Milora. She's the one who approved this game thirty-seven years ago when she first started teaching here."
I'm Lynn by the way," the girl-Lynn said. The name clicked in my mind, but I wasn't sure why. Then it hit me, the security guard at the airport. He said his daughter was at Hippoplum and her name was Lynn. As we were leaving the cafeteria, I spotted Lynn's long red hair and I ran towards it. "By the way, at the airport your dad told me to tell you he misses you," I said. Many mixed emotions flickered in her eyes. Then she just smiled, but it looked forced and walked away.
