We talked about everything and nothing, like if there was no tomorrow. You kept praising me how pretty I looked, and how much you loved me. After a while, we both fell asleep.
In the morning, when my alarm went off, I jumped and rubbed my eyes gently. I looked at the screen, and saw you sleeping peacefully. Your mask was falling off, exposing your soft, kissable lips. But they weren't as beautiful, as they always were.
There was a fresh cut on them, and above your lips, there was a purple bruise.
I just stared in a shock at the screen, without saying anything.
