Now Jace and Ashley were holding The Cup together. He whispered: "This saved your life."

"What would happen if I didn't make it in time ?" She looked up from The Cup to his beautiful eyes. "Demons wer--"

"You did. You did it. First rule of Shadowhunting when something explodes, just keep walking." He smiled, staring into her eyes, and she could swear he saw right into her soul.

"And the second ?" She smirked at Blondie.

He just smiled and was about to say something but Izzy snatched The Cup away from them with her Whip. "There's nothing a Shadowhunter can't do in heels."

"Damn, right." Fairchild girl laughed and walked to Izzy, and Jace was with Alec now.

Meanwhile the two guys were checking monitors, Ashley got The Cup back into the tarot card.

She smiled still amazed at the process how it works, that smile didn't last long as she heard Alec.

".... is not safe here. We have to give it back to the Clave."

"Alec, not to be disrespectful or anything, but after everything that we've been through, you just want it to give up."

Izzy looked at brunette, but without her usual optimistic face expression. "He is right. The Cup is extremely important."

"Are you agreeing with me ?" Lightwood boy raised his brows.

"I'm full of surprises."

"Guys, I'm sorry, but this is the best lead we got, I lost my sister, I almost lost Luke, I can't lose my mom too." Brunette said with pleasing eyes, and even Alec was looking at her with sympathy.

"I agree with Ashley." Jace stated and as soon as that sympathy came, was now gone. "We can't give The Cup to the Clave, not now. We need it."

"Alec, please." Fairchild girl need him on her side more than ever, so he sighed and agreed.

"Follow me."

They both walked to the training room and Alec took out his Stele. He crunched down and drew a symbol on one particular part on the floor. There we few items inside it, and the brunette girl handed him the cup.

"Since you've arrived, our whole world has been turned upside down." He said standing up. "And I still don't understand how is it possible that I still manage to be in your presence."

With that he left, only to leave Ashley stood there with smirk playing on her lips. Until she shouted after him. "I love you too, Alexander."

She took out her phone only to see like 20 missed calls, from no other than Simon. "Hey, Simon." She started after it went into voicemail. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to call you. Everything's been so crazy lately. I have so much to tell you." Then she hung up.

Loud been started to sound through the whole Institute. Ashley ran up to the others Shadowhunters. "What's happening ?"

"Someone is trying to break in." Izzy stated.

"Could be a Circle member." Blondie suggested. Ashley stood there looking at the monitors but quickly ran up to other Shadowhunters, alongside with some weapon, just in case.

They walked until, they saw two figures, but only one was walking the other was in the arms of the first one.

"Don't move." Jace shouted at the figures.
"Drop what you're holding and put your hand up."

Ashley walked in the front, only to see a vampire, Rafael, with Simon unconscious in his arms.

"No, no, no." She spoke, with tears in her eyes, but she didn't let any of them fall down.
