After Bella's remains rained down, the whole room jumped into motion.
Unable to control himself, Edward ran me, but he crumpled to the ground before he could reach me. He writhed in pain on the floor, and I stood there and watched, dumbstruck, and stared.
What in actual Hell was happening.
"Violet!" Demetri yelled from behind me.
I turned to look at him, and he grabbed my arm before yanking me backward, away from the outbreaking violence.
Jane grinned as Edward continued to writhe in pain on the ground in his wife's remains when Alec grabbed her by the arm and yanked her backward, dragging her up the steps, towards the leaders. After a few stumbled steps, she ran with him, up the steps and out of the way of the unraveling fight.
Marcus and Caius rose from their seats and Aro and them began to shift away from the fight, making a move to run for the hills down the hallway that extended from the back of the room to a hidden doorway - an exit the leaders normally used to walk away while their guards handled cleaning up the messes.
Jasper, his eyes wild, resisted running at Renesmee's spilled blood, and charged forward at the leaders. Jane turned to use her power on him, but Alec yanked on her arm again, bumping into Renata in the process.
In the fraction of a second that Renata was distracted by being run into by the twins, Jasper, wild, rabid, and crazy, got ahold of Aro and decapitated him. He got ahold of Caius as he attempted to follow Marcus and the twins out of the room, but before he could kill him, Renata got ahold of him.
Jasper and Renata struggled, while Jasper still had a firm grasp of Caius' head, and he managed to crush Caius' skill and kill him just before Renata was able to decapitated him.
As Caius and Jasper lost their lives, Marcus and the twins made it safely out of the room.
Those motherfuckers.
With Jane no longer pinning him down, Edward was back on his feet and ready to take me down.
Demetri jumped in between Edward and me, as I was still frozen in shock.
What the fuck was happening?
Seeing Demetri in combat, trying to take Edward down, snapped me out of my daze and I jumped in to help. There was no way I was going to let Edward do to me what I had just done to him.
I couldn't endure an eternity without Demetri.
Alice screamed as Jasper's body dropped, and she jumped at Renata, killing her easily. Without missing a beat, she jumped into the fight with Edward against Demetri and me.
Two against two. Two heavys against a psychic and a mind reader.
God damn it.
As the seconds ticked by, shit continued to hit the fan. The Volturi soldiers swarmed the Cullens; though the Cullens refused to go down without putting up a fight.
