Chapter 7. Fear Can Turn Into Fearless

There was a small moment of silence, the calm before the storm was happening at this moment. Both sides were waiting for the other to make the first move, yet no one dared to make a move. That was until Moon noticed something, Rosemary had her hand behind her back, showing three fingers to her. Slowly counting down, closing the first finger so only two left. This meant it was her who had to do the first strike. She went back to focus and got her arrow ready this time aiming for the talkative intruder this time. One finger left. Moon took a deep breathing time to show how effective Heart's training has come to use. Rosemary removed the last finger, meaning it was now or never.

Moon let go of the arrow sending it toward the guy, but yet again the other guy noticed and blocked it with his spear. But to their surprise, Moon also had a surprise for them she sent yet 2 more arrows towards them right after the first. Which hit the side of the talkative one's arm. They both looked annoyed at Moon, which gave her small shivers down her spine.

But that attack was enough distraction for the two others to strike at them. Rosemary went for the not so talkative one since he probably was the strongest of them. While Dreamy went for the other guy. Both went for a kick, where both ended hitting the spear pushing both enemies a little, this is where the close combat began for real. Meanwhile in the background Moon was sitting keeping an eye for an opening, while she also tried to analyze the two enemies.

The one Rosemary was fighting was taller than the other one for sure and was much more built. That means he for sure was the strongest when it comes to combat, so Rosemary did a good job choosing that one. He also has the ability to summon spears so probably keep an eye for that, maybe try shooting an arrow to push it away or something.

Meanwhile the other Dreamy was fighting, not the strongest for sure, but he was probably the brain in their group. So even if he's not strong he might be able to think his way out to get a hit or something. Another problem was that they didn't know what his ability was yet.

Rosemary kept hitting the tall guy, not giving him space to swing his spear. When he finally got space to swing she just moved fastly behind him and kicked his hand with the spear so he dropped it. He might be strong, but his movement is not the sharpest Rosemary thought, but before she could get to strike again she was hit by a big surprise when the big guy fastly turned around and punched after her. Rosemary was fast enough to block it but was pushed a good 10 meters from him. This surprised Rosemary. The guy summoned another spear and started to throw them after her now that there was a distance between them. But this didn't stop her from getting close again. She just had to dodge them. So she took a deep breath before going for it.

On the other side, Dreamy was just dodging the spear that was being stocked after her. He wasn't strong but he was sure fast, which led to her getting some small scratches here and there on her, but nothing serious. She was getting more and more annoyed by the minutes. So when he went to strike her again she grabbed the spear and pushed it towards her so he was also pushed to her, this was where she found her time and gave him a kick in the stomach that made him stumble a few steps. Dreamy threw the spear to the side and looked at the smaller guy that was holding his stomach.

"For a girl, you have some pretty strong muscles," he commented. Dreamy didn't reply and just moved forward cracking her knuckles getting ready to give him a punch or two. This was where both Dreamy and Moon noticed something was off. But it was too late to do anything. The guy smirked and locked eyes with Dreamy "I wonder... What you fear the most in the world~" he said while his eyes started to glow purple clearly activating his ability. "DREAMY LOOK AWAY!" Moon yelled but it was already too late. Dreamy was stuck in place, clearly in some kind of trance. Moon tried to get an arrow, but she noticed she didn't have any more in her quiver. Oh no no no not now she thought looking back at Dreamy who was starting to shake.
