Chapter 21. Dark Days Bring Sadness and Sorrow.

It did not take long for the news to be spread about the fallen hero. Already when the leaders had gotten a message about the spies coming back and that Fanny had passed away. They directly told everyone else from the camp. Everyone could not believe the news. Not even the leaders could believe it themselves. The high spirited and energetic girl who never gave up on a fight, was killed.

Letters were sent to both friends and family of Fanny, who each have their despair and sadness. When the two had finally come back to Ideley. They had taken Fanny's corpse along with them so she could get a proper funeral. Though Blackie and Emerald were the ones to do the most things. Blue had lost all her energy and all her hope. She had fallen into the deep despair of losing her lover. The only one she blamed for this was herself. They had visited both Sakura, and Fanny's family to tell them their story. Sakura had given her condolences to them both and wished she could do something about this. Meanwhile Fanny's family was between different emotions themselves. But they thanked them for bringing back their daughter and said they would be here for them if they needed something.

When they finally came back to the camp everyone was giving them their sincerest condolences for their loss. Blackie was the one to thank them. Though Blue said nothing, she just went to her room. Not feeling the motivation to do anything. This made the leaders make up their mind to send Blue on a break. Sending her back to Ideley so she could settle down with her family and close ones. Blackie was the one to hear their idea and accepted it right away.

Nano on the other hand had already read Blue like an open book. She had the feeling that the blue haired was blaming herself for Fanny's death. Which she had the feeling wasn't the case. Nano went to the spies house and went to Blue and Fanny's room and found something that could have the DNA of Fanny. She found a piece of black hair which belonged to Fanny. And she used an old spell her mother had taught her when she was younger. A spell that would tell the last words the person had said, also known as 'Iterare tuam Historia'. What she heard concluded her final thoughts that Blue had to hear this before leaving.

The last couple of days Blue had been staying in the forest, not being able to sleep, because of nightmares. She wanted some time for herself and her thoughts. Though the others had asked if she wanted someone to talk to. She denied them all, even Blackie. The blue haired girl was sitting by a wisteria tree looking at a little lake. The sound helped her relax a little, but the thoughts were still stuck in her brain. She was the cause of her lover's death... She closed her eyes and shook her head. She hugged her knees close and hid her head under them. Small sobs could be heard from her. "I'm sorry Fanny... I'm so sorry..." she said.

"You should stop blaming yourself Blue." said a small monotone voice from behind her. She knew only one with that voice, and raised her head looking at the girl. "What do you want Nano?" said the girl almost like a whisper. Tears still falling from her eyes. Nano walked to the other and sat next to her. She said nothing in the beginning and just stared at the lake like Blue had not long ago. Blue just looked at the black haired girl before turning her eyes back at the lake herself. "It's a beautiful lake indeed, also very clean." Nano said ignoring the blue haired girl's question. Blue only nodded her head. It's true she had been staying here for the most time since they came back.

Nano finally looked at Blue and looked through her pocket. Blue noticed and looked at Nano with a confused expression. "You miss her alot right?" she asked which made Blue shake and fresh tears starting falling down. "Every second... I can't stop thinking about it..." Blue replied and Nano nodded in understanding "and you can't stop blaming yourself?" Nano said which made Blue freeze in place. How did she know?! she thought to herself, before she let her calm down again. She looked away and nodded her head "If I just had used my day with her she would have been alive..." she sobbed.

"It's not your fault Blue... You should know that. You did not know this would happen." Nano said which Blue directly denied. She started complaining about all the reasons it could be her fault. The black hair girl took a deep breath before finally taking what she was looking for in her pocket. She pulled up a piece of hair from Fanny. "What if I might be able to change your mind?" Nano said with a serious tone. Blue saw the piece of hair and looked puzzled at Nano. But accepted whatever the other could do to change her mind.

Nano closed her eyes, concentrating her magic into the piece of hair. "Iterare tuam Historia" she whispered. The hair slowly started to transform into something new. When Blue saw it was turning into a butterfly. It spread its wings and started to fly towards the crying girl. "Blue... Hey..." a voice could be heard from the butterfly. A familiar voice which made Blue eyes widened when she finally recognized Fanny's voice. She quickly looked at Nano who only gave a smile and signaled her to be quiet. "I know you might not hear me.... But remember I'll always love you and I'll always be with you no matter what.... Thank.... you... for coming...... Into my..... life" The final words finished and the butterfly vanished into the air. Blue stood there with tears running down her eyes not a single word could be said.

When she finally came back to her senses she went directly for a hug to the other girl. "Thank you Nano! Thank you so much!" she sobbed repeatedly. Nano hugged back, rubbing Blue's back. "Please promise me you'll take better care of yourself. Remember you're caring another life" Showing her comfort to her, and they were like this for a while. When Blue finally felt better Nano saw that as a sign for them both to move on. She stood up and held a hand out for Blue to take. Blue smiled and accepted the hand. And they both went back to the camp.

The last days before leaving back to Ideley she became more talkative, and started to take better care of herself. Finally the day came for Blue to go back to Ideley for her break. She said her goodbyes for now, and can't wait to come back, when she is fully recovered. She walked up to Blackie and gave her a big hug "I'm so sorry to leave you Blackie, I hope you will be able to take care without me" she said with a smile, which made Blackie give a small smile in response along with a small nod. With that Blue was on her way back to Ideley not to be seen until she was ready. Which everyone accepted.

Later that night. The leaders had a little meeting in their house. Middey was the first to break the silence "Now that the spies have splitted, are we gonna go with the new plan?" she asked, getting comfy on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa. "I see no other options we have, what do you think Nano" replied Heart with a smile on her face. Nano took a sip of her tea before speaking "I do agree that we need to go into action, now that we have lost a member, but for now let's stay low, until Blue comes back" she replied which the two other girls agreed.

For now there was only waiting for the right timing to strike in their plan for freedom.
