Chapter 15. Connection to The Dark Side

The city of Aleby was a city most known to be working with agriculture. They farm all types of vegetables and fruits, which they sell to the other cities in the good territories. And alongside Mison, they are the oldest cities as well.

Heart and Midnight had spent 3 days in the city, helping around, where they could be needed. Midnight helped most of her time with Jasmine by coming up with good fighting plans, if someone was to attack them. Meanwhile Heart spent a lot of time taking care and playing with the town's children.

One day when they were having a small break, Midnight and Heart were eating some snacks Rose made for them under a tree, while enjoying the peaceful nature. Heart looked at the sky before opening her mouth. "I suppose it is about time, I get in contact with Lilly, so we have our knowledge on what they are on about" She said looking back at Midnight who gave her an understanding look, added with a nod in return. Team Hikari had always had a connection with their nemesis Team Yami, who might be a smaller team, but they are nothing to underestimate. All except for one, which is the one Heart has a connection with. Her childhood friend Lilly McPride. They have known each other before the separation had happened. Though when it happened Lilly was tested with bad blood so she and her family moved to Yodan, in the bad territory.

"After what you told me about her, I do feel bad for her. I could never imagine what she is going through with those people in her team" Midnight came out with. Lilly after what Heart normally describes her as. The most nonviolent person you could meet. She's a caring and helpful person, who always puts others before herself. Heart had always felt bad for her when she had to move away, but happy that they still have their connection with each other, where she is willing to help them.

They were interrupted by a small group of children running up and begging Heart and Midnight to say which berries are edible, which they happily agreed to do. They shared a little bit as thanks and ran away again. Midnight and Heart enjoyed watching the children having fun even in times like this. They finished their lunch, and went back to helping around.

The sun started to set and everyone began to move inside again. Heart and Midnight alongside Jasmine did a small patrol to see if anyone was home safely. When they got home, and ate their dinner together, they talked about how their day had been. Heart explained that she would be going into the forest to meet someone tomorrow. Both Rose and Jasmine said she should be careful about walking alone in the forest, since there could be enemies lurking around. Heart understood clearly and promised to be careful. They all helped each other cleaning the table, before they all said their goodnights and went to their bedrooms. Heart opened her window where a pigeon flew in and sat on the desk, where Heart had sat at. She found a piece of paper in the drawer and a pen. She sat for a little moment, thinking about what she should be writing. When she had thought clearly about her word, she lowered her pen and started to draw.

'My dear friend Lilly.

It's been a while, but I think it's time for us to meet up again to exchange our information with each other. We'll meet at our usual spot in the forest, where the flower opening is, between Yodan and Aleby.

Can't wait to meet you again.

She finished and folded the paper and put it into the letter, attaching it to the pigeon and told them to give it to Lilly in Yodan, the pigeon nodded its head and flew out again, heading to the destination it was told to go. Heart gave a small smile before heading to bed herself, feeling excited to meet her old friend again.
