"Feliz Navidad, Mama A," I say into the phone once Ally picks up. I had taken a break from being with Lauren's family to call Ally and see how her holiday was coming. I was going to call Dinah and the rest of our family later, and mail off their presents.

I can hear the smile in her voice, "Feliz Navidad, Paigey. How's everything? Camila called me late last night and explained that you'd found her, and she also explained the whole argument..." Her voice trailed off towards the end, something she often did when she was nervous or holding something in.

"She did?" I'm curious, but I knew better than to ask outright. I'd have to ask around the main question and then piece together the smaller answers.

"Yes, didn't Lauren say anything..?" Well, she said SOMETHING, just not that something.

"No, she kind of avoided the subject.. You don't mind I'm spending the holiday with them, right?" Maybe it was that she missed me.

"It's no issue, the puppy misses you, though." Ally chuckles, "So how was your morning?" She sounded truthful so I decided it wasn't that.

"It was good... Pairen is kinda a thing."

'WHAT?!" Okay, maybe that wasn't the right time to spring it on her.

"Um... yea... it just kinda happened.. surprised me, too."

There's a long pause on the other end of the line, "Did she try anything...?"

"No! No way. Completely innocent.. Why, do you have a problem with it, Alz?" She seems kind of apprehensive about this. I await her answer as Lauren comes into the room, coming behind me and wrapping her arms around me, placing kisses on my shoulders neck, and cheek. I giggle, "Lauren, honestly..." I say in a warning tone, but that doesn't stop her. She continues, causing me to squirm.

"I think you should wait. Paige, what if this is just a rebound fling?" I'm shocked to hear it, but then I realize I'm not surprised. I tense up and Lauren gives me a look of concern.

"Everything okay?" she mouths. I nod, "Listen, Ally. We can talk more about this later?"

"...Okay, I love you. Call me before bed?"

"Yes, mommy. I love you, too. Have a great holiday."

"You, too." I hang up first then turn to Lauren, giving her the attention she obviously wanted.
"What's up mama?" Lauren asks once I'm facing her, lacing our fingers together. I shake my head, "Nothing. What's up with you?"
She tilts her head, "Did Ally say something?"
"No. Don't worry about it, okay?" She smiles, and nods, "What do you wanna do for the rest of today?"
"We've cuddled, eaten, made out. Do you wanna shop?"
"Ooh yes! I need a new phone, I broke mine." She makes a disgusted face, rolling her eyes, and I laugh, "I figured that. Between the drive home and going to bed, it disappeared."
"Oh, shut up, last night was horrible."
I lean forward until I'm ghosting her lips, "Was it really all that bad..?"
She groans her grip on my hand loosening, traveling farther up my arms, "Could've been better." There's a mischievous glint in her eyes as she looks up at me.
"You're right." I say, pulling back, "you could've had a phone." I laugh.
"Oh my gosh, you're such an ass!" Lauren groans, slapping my arm. I push her lightly and jump off the bed, "I try to be, butt face. Meet me at the car."
