Ariana's POV
In the grandiose great hall, I found myself in the epicenter, mesmerized by the dancing flames.
Suddenly, a chorus of voices erupted, urging Cedric to take action. Out of nowhere, someone tumbled onto me, and a groan escaped my lips.
Amidst the chaos, Cedric, with a look of panic, confessed, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. It's just my friends..." I assured him, "Calm down, Cedric, it was an accident."
I got up and dusted myself off, Ron chimed in with dreams of eternal glory, "Be brilliant, wouldn't it? Three years from now, when we're old enough to be chosen."
"Yeah, rather you than me." Harry, ever the realist, remarked. I gracefully took my place next to Hermione, only to be greeted by the mischievous twins.
"Yes! Thank you, thank you. Well, lads, we've done it. Cooked it up just this morning," They announced triumphantly.
Hermione, ever the voice of reason, sang, "It's not going to work." Unfazed, the twins joined our circle, challenging her skepticism.
"Oh, yeah?" Fred inquired, while George added, "And why is that, Granger?"
"You see this? This is an Age Line. Dumbledore drew it himself." With a sly smile, Hermione revealed, Unconvinced, the twins pressed, "So?"
"So, a genius like Dumbledore couldn't possibly be fooled by a dodge as pathetically dimwitted as an Aging Potion." I scoffed amused.
"Ah, that's the brilliance of it," Fred chimed in, "utterly dimwitted, yet genius!" George added with a smirk. "Yeah, I'll bet you both a kiss if you succeed," I confidently declared.
"Deal, but no more settling for cheek kisses this time," Fred teased, making me blush. "Let's see about that," I countered a bit flustered.
"Bottoms up!" They exclaimed, downing their drinks and linking hands before entering the ring. Papers in place, Fred shot me a mischievous smirk.
Suddenly, the fire reacted, tossing them out of the ring and transforming them into old versions of themselves.
And then, the chaos ensued."Oh, you want a piece of me?!" Fred yelled, ready to brawl. "I'll tear your ears off!" George countered, and the crowd went wild.
Amidst the mayhem, Krum slyly added his name to the mix, casting a meaningful glance at Hermione. I couldn't help but smirk.
"Oh, shut up," She retorted. "I didn't even say anything," I chuckled innocently. The magical mayhem had everyone cheering, fighting, and leaving us all in stitches.
Time Skip~~~
The Great Hall was buzzing with anticipation as Harry and I found ourselves side by side, eagerly awaiting the grand reveal.
Dumbledore, ever the showman, dimmed the lights dramatically. "Sit down, please. Now, the moment you've all been waiting for: The champion selection!"
He built up the suspense with a twinkle in his eye. "The Durmstrang champion is Viktor Krum." Applause echoed through the hall as Krum acknowledged the cheers.
"The champion for Beauxbatons is Fleur Delacour." The elegant Fleur gracefully accepted her title. "And now, the Hogwarts champion, Cedric Diggory! Excellent!"
Cedric's gaze lingered on me, accompanied by a cheeky wink.
"Woooo, looks like our Cedric Champion has a crush on our Gryffindor Princess," Fred teased, prompting my eye roll.
"Oh, shut up," I retorted, more focused on navigating the Snape and Draco dilemma.
"Now, we have our three champions. But in the end, only one will go down in history. Only one will hoist this chalice of champions, this vessel of victory, the Triwizard Cup!" Dumbledore declared, unveiling the majestic cup.
