Trigger Warning: Bullying
Ash's POV
The next day I got up early, since I had a class. As I made my way to campus, I couldn't help but think about three specific women. My three captains had permanently marked my brain and I couldn't stop thinking about them. Usually I don't really crush on people, but those three stunning women just had an effect on me..
I shook it off and made my way into the building, heading straight to class. Everything was completely fine, untill some stupid boy decided to ruin everything. "Hey babe, I was thinking you and I should head to the movies Friday night." the guy, I believe his name is Jesse, said with a stupid-looking smirk.
"No thank you." I replied as politely as I could, before turning my attention back to my book.
"Perhaps I wasn't clear. You see, I just asked you out on a date." the dude said, making me look back up at him. The way he was hovering above me, with that stupid smirk on his face, was honestly a little creepy.
"I understood that. I said no thank you, because I'm not interested. Sorry." I replied once again, and I swear I could see smoke come out of his ears. Perhaps he wasn't used to getting turned down, but that didn't change the fact that I wasn't interested.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" He raised his voice angrily, making the entire class turn their attention to us. This was really an inconvenient time for the teacher to not be present. Like, of all moments to leave for whatever reason, it of course had to be now. Great.
"I'm Ash. And you are?" I asked back, my sassiness taking over.
"You dare talk back to me?!" he was furious. I slowly got out of my chair and came face to face with him. He was still taller than me, but it was still better than when I sat down.
"You didn't answer the question. I told you who I am. Who are you?" I asked again, keeping a calm tone.
"I'm Jesse. You should show some respect." he growled and I could feel the tension in the room.
"And you should do the same. If a girl doesn't want to go out with you, that's her choice." I replied confidently, earning small gasps and oohs from the rest of the class.
"You better watch it." He spoke through gritted teeth, as he took a step closer to me.
"Or what? You're gonna hit me?" I asked and raised an eyebrow. As suspected he let out a frustrated growl and left the classroom, but that was after he sent me the worst death glare he could. As soon as he was out the door, my classmates cheered wildly, making me smile to myself.
-
When class was over, I gathered my stuff and made my way towards the exit, since I was done for the day. I walked down the hallway, which was very quiet for some strange reason. Then out of nowhere, Jesse came around a corner, walking straight up to me. I didn't even notice the cup in his hand, before he tossed an ice cold slushie in my face. The sound of him laughing could be heard as he ran away, leaving me soaked in the cold drink. I grabbed my hoodie that was tied around my waist, and used the dry parts of it to wipe the red staining coldness away from my face. I didn't even bother going to the bathroom to wash my face, I just wanted to go home.
-
When I stepped into the Bella house, I could hear music playing in the living room, as well as several of the girls singing. I didn't really want to go in there, but I had to go through the living room to get to the stairs. I quickly made my way past the girls, keeping my head down so they wouldn't see the remaining slushie, before running upstairs to the bathroom.
It was wishful thinking, to hope none of the girls would notice, but I tried to convince myself that they didn't. In reality, of course someone noticed. Three soft knocks on the door made me mentaly curse at myself for letting them see. I didn't get to reply before the door slowly opened and a head popped in. I could see the sadness in Beca's eyes, as she came into the room and closed the door behind her. That was it, I couldn't hold it in any longer. The tears streamed down my face without control and the brunette hurried over to me, pulling me into a tight embrace.
"It's okay, baby. I'm right here and we're gonna figure this out." she said softly, as she helped me sit down on the closed toilet-lid. It was a little weird to see the brunette acting in this protective and soft way. She usually seemed so cold and guarded. "Can you please tell me what happened?" she asked softly as she grabbed a damp washcloth and a towel.
"Th-there was th-this boy.. he asked m-me to go out with h-him.. and I said n-no.. he got very m-mad and then he t-threw a slushie in m-my face.." I choked out in between sobs, while Beca helped dry my hair, as well as washing my face with the cloth.
"Who was the boy?" she asked and I could hear the furiousness in her voice.
"Jesse Swanson." I replied barely loud enough for her to hear, but I knew she did, because she immediately got up and headed for the door. I didn't even get to process what was happening, before Beca had stormed out of the bathroom, leaving me alone and confused.
Not long after, Chloe and Aubrey came into the room, both with concerned faces. "Where's Beca?" I asked and wiped away a few tears.
"She went to take care of business." Aubrey replied, making me go wide eyed. "Don't worry about it, baby. For now, we need to get you cleaned and into some clean clothes as well." the blonde continued and helped me onto my feet, before she started to pull my shirt off. That's when I panicked for real. I quickly stepped away from her and pulled my shirt back down, making both of them look at me even more concerned.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" Chloe asked, her eyes searching mine.
"I can't change in front of you guys.." I replied and looked down at the floor.
"I'm sorry, baby, I didn't think that far.. I'm sorry. We'll go and get you some clothes, and you can take a shower in the meantime." Aubrey said and I could see that she meant it, she looked so guilty.
"It's okay.. and thank you." I replied with a small smile, before they left.
