Chapter 6: Chase

Elia's pov

Audra laughed a little, and simply walked away. I couldn't tell if she was on our side, but her actions obvuiously showed that she was not on the Royals' side. I shrugged, and we, the Rebels, continued on our way.

We went to lunch with our group. I got my lunch, and then saw Luke at our table with the rest of 5SOS. I tried to pass off my excitement by walking like I didn't care that they were there, but then I saw Amy speedwalking towards them. I hurried my pace, beat her there, and sat next to Luke. He noticed me there and smiled, and was about to hug me when Amy hugged him from behind and sat between us.

Grrr....

Jackie's pov

I saw Elia fuming in her seat, and wondered why. Then I looked next to her where Amy was excitedly talking to Luke, totally blocking Elia from his view. I sort of felt bad for her, but that's her problem, not mine.

Micheal stood up when he saw me coming, and walked me the rest of the way to the table. I sat next to Elia, and he took the seat on the other side of me.

I nudged Elia and gave her a smile. She tried to smile back, her face coming out into a grimace instead. Okay, she's jealous. I sighed, and made a face at her. She immediately cracked up like I knew she would, and made a face back at me. Hers was just stupid, and I burst out chortling. Everyone else joined in with the faces, and soon, we were all laughing.

Suddenly, I got a text. I pulled out my phone, my laughter slowly fading away as I checked the number.

"Huh? Who's this?" I whispered breathlessly to myself, and opened the message box. I read the message, and quietly gasped. I just stared at my phone, and then put it away, turning to stare at my food, my head hung.

Elia stopped laughing, and stared at me.

"Jackie, your food's not going to jump into your mouth no matter how long you stare at it. Go on, dig in!!" Elia started stuffing her face, grabbing my phone to check her Facebook. I didn't object, she did it often, and I was still in shock. As she stuffed her face, I finally reacted to her statement and said the words I never thought I would ever say: "I'm not hungry."

At this, Elia started chocking on her burger, the fries she had put in there popping out of her mouth. She ran to the trashcan, and spit her food out, and ran back to me, shock on her face.

"WHAT?!!" I didn't look at her, I just sat there. "Jackie! What happened?!!" She shook my shoulder, and grabbed my face ao that I was forced to look at her.

"Nothing." Unconsciously, I looked over at my phone. Since she was holding my face, she noticed my eyes dart to it. She let go, and grabbed my phone, unlocking it and checking my messages. As she read the message, her face changed from worried, to shocked.

She glanced at me, her mouth hanging open, and started freakinh out.

"WTF!! WHY DID HE TEXT YOU? HOW DID HE TEXT YOU?" she screamed at me, freaking out, while I stared calmly at her. "WHY, WHY, WHY?!!!"

Amy turned to look at her, and asked, "Why what?" Elia just kept on rambling.

"Oh, this is bad. What are we going to do?!! What are you going to do? This is really bad!!!"

Luke started looking annoyed, and asked her Amy's question again. She ignored him too, then Amy stood up and grabbed her by the shoulders, shacking her small frame.

"WHY, WHAT?!!!" Elia snapped out of her trance and screamed back at Amy, "CHASE IS MOVING BACK TO SIDNEY HIGH!!!"

Amy stayed silent for several seconds, then started freaking out, too.

Micheal asked, "Who's Chase?" Elia looked at him with worry in her eyes. "He's Jackie's ex."

"So?"

Elia gave a dark laugh. "So? So?!! He totally broke her heart!! He dated her for several weeks, then steals her first kiss and just walks away afterwards, saying it was nice meeting her!! How is that not dick of him?!!!"

I was shocked. "ELIA!! Was that really necessary?"

"I don't care."

"Well you better!"

"Or what?!"

"Or I'm taking your...your...your water bottle!!"

"You wouldn't!!"

"I just did!!" I said, walking out with her water bottle in my hands.

Elia's pov

I can't believe she just did that!! Even though she just stole my water bottle, I have to admit her sass is getting way better. I stared after her, just like everybody else. I didn't notice before, but everyone in the cafeteria was staring at us. I heard people begin to murmur, and Micheal softly said, "Damn, that was hot."

I glared at him, and snapped in his face. "Hot? That was NOT hot!! She is PISSED OFF!!! She could be punching a wall right now and all you have to say is, 'That was hot.'???"

He stared at me frightened, and I stormed to look for Jackie. I really hope she's not moping like when that bastard left her. Boy, if he dares get close to her, I swear I am going to break his face!!

I entered the wall, and saw Jackie banging her head on the wall. I sighed. How are you going to fix this Elia?

I don't know, you tell me, Oh Giant Brain!!

Sorry, can't help you here. Now stop talking to yourself and help her!!

Gosh, okay! You sound like my mom: bossy.

Shut up, you're just telling yourself off.

Oh yeah? Well-

"Elia, what do I do? He's back!"

"What if I move in next to you? At least he won't live next to you."

"Too late for that. He sent me a picture with the moving truck in front of his old home. Next to mine. Again!"

I sighed. What are we going to do? Jackie's mom doesn't mind Chase, he's going to come to Sidney High anyway, and he's her neighbor again! I suddenly had a great idea.

"What if, we ask a favor of Micheal?"

"About?" I just love it when she doesn't question my ideas.

"What if we make it like your story on Wattpad? You know, you guys are play that dating game, but this time, you can't break up because Chase will no doubt want to be with you again."

She stared at me sadly. "That's not going to work, Elia. Micheal would never accept. I'm not good enough for him, and we're not even good friends, they just sit with us to avoid the fangirls. Admit it, he'll never agree. He probably doesn't even care about me, so there's no way he would do it. It's hopeless."

"I'm doing it, babe."

She turned to look over her shoulder. I smiled misheviously, knowing he couldn't resist checking on her. Now he's perfect for her, not Chase.

She stared in shock, then said, "Fuck!"

New character guys: Chase. I never knew his last name, and Jackie never told me his last name, so he won't have a last name. Sorry if it was crapoy, but Im really tired right now, so don't blame me, okay?!!
