Jackie's pov
As the bell rang, I said goodbye to Elia, wishing that Audra could leave me alone for at least a period. But, as always, that was not the case. I walked to second period, pushing through several couples making out in the halls. With several bruises from being pushed around, I entered my second period before anyone else.
I sat down in my usual seat and took out my phone, opening up Wattpad to read some Creepypasta. Soon, the seats filled up with students, well, except the ones next to me.
I ignored the teacher as he started teaching the other students what I already knew. I had taken this class during the summer because I didn't want to deal with it this year, but the school put me here because Juniors HAD to take this class.
As he droned on and on about the history of the U.S., I felt someone sit next to me. I looked up slightly and noticed it was a guy. I looked at the guy's shirt, and it seemed similar to Calum's. With my eyes widening and my thoughts running crazy, I finally looked at the guy's face. I couldn't believe what I saw. It WAS Calum!!!!
He looked at me and realization dawned on his face.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Is this seat taken?" he asked, starting to get up. Still in shock, I shook my head, indicating that it was free.
"Oh, thank god! I don't want to sit in front anymore. That redhead is really annoying!" He pointed at Ariel, who was flirting with Ashton and Luke. They seemed really annoyed, and looked like they wanted to punch her right in the face. Calum silently started signaling at them, and pointed at the two seats that were on the other side of me.
"Hey, do you mind if my friends sit here too? They really look like they need to escape the crazy redhead?" I cleared my throat, and finally said in a quiet voice: "No, I don't mind. She drives me crazy too."
He laughed a little. "I like you, you know what we don't like in girls." He looked up as Ashton and Luke came over.
"Calum, thank you. I was about to punch her in the face!" Luke said. "Me too." Ashton added, sitting at the end of the table. He looked at me and asked, "Who's this pretty lady?"
I rolled my eyes, blushing like crazy. "She's the one who allowed me to save your butts. Thank her for the seats. Oh, she hates the redhead, too!"
They laughed and thanked me, and then they talked among themselves, leaving me to read again. As I read, I couldn't help but scream at myself in my head for not trying to talk the guys since this was probably the only chance I would ever get to them noticing me. The bell rang, and I sighed.
They got up, but were too into their own conversation to say goodbye to me. They were talking something about tadpoles being baby mosquitoes or something like that.
I pushed my way towards third where I had Elia. Unfortunately, we also had Audra in there, and, no doubt, she would bully us again. Elia and I were stuck in the middle row, with Audra, where she would hurt Elia until shw let her copy the answers. I mean, I would copy too, but Elia didn't mind when I did it.
As expected, Audra tripped me on the way in, causing my books to fall again, but this time, my phone fell too. Elia gasped, picking up my phone which had a huge crack on the screen. Audra sneered at me.
"Aww, did your phone fall and crack, Jackel?" She laughed, and stepped all over my books as she went to sit down. I didn't get up, just stared at my phone.
That bitch!! She cracked my phone!! My mom finally earned enough to buy me a new one last month, and Audra had to ruin it!! Rage filled inside me, and Elia grabbed my arm as I finally got up, breathing hard.
