Chapter 10: Heartbreak

Author's Note- yeah, um, I'm sorry for updating late. I'm not going to say I had writer's block because, I didn't. I was just lazy. Anyway, here's chapter 9. Enjoy!!

Elia's POV.

I couldn't believe my eyes. Amy was here at Carmike....with Chase!!! Gosh, I hated those two!! But what was Amy doing here with Chase anyway? I had stopped in my tracks, Jackie walking ahead towards the snack bar. She turned around to ask me what I wanted, but then noticed I wasn't there. She came towards me, after buying the popcorn and drinks, and said, "Elia, what's wrong? You look like you saw Amy with Chase!!"

I turned towards her with a blank face, then sighed. "I did see Amy here with Chase! Look!!" I pointed towards them. "I mean, what is she doing with Chase??? I thought she hated him as much as w-" I stopped suddenly, the sight before me was just too shocking. I heard Jackie's small gasp, and I knew it wasn't a part of my imagination.

Jackie's POV.

I turned around to ask Elia what she wanted apart from the popcorn, but she wasn't behind me. I turned around, and saw her staring at something with a shocked expression. After buying the popcorn and sodas (heck I'm not gonna wait for her just to buy her candy. She can do without it.), I walked towards where she was still standing in shock. "Elia, what's wrong? You look like you just saw Amy with Chase!!" I said jokingly, thinking that that was just absurd.

She sighed, and said, "I did see Amy with Chase!!" She pointed towards them, and I was shocked to see that she was right. She then started blabbing about something about them, but I wasn't paying attention. I was still shocked that Amy was at the movies with Chase. I watched as Amy suddenly threw her arms around Chase's neck, him holding her waist, and kiss him. I gasped, not believing that Amy was cheating on Luke, who became her boyfriend just yesterday!!

"-thought she hated him as much as w-" I heard Elia cut herself off, probably seeing what I did. I looked towards her, my eyes wide, and saw that hers were way wider. She snapped out of it, and I heard her mumble something under her breath before taking out her phone and taking a few pictures.

"What's that for?" I asked, confused as to why she would want photos of this. She looked at me like I was stupid, and said, "Luke has to know about this. I know I'm mad at him for what he did, but I can't just keep this from him!! No matter what, he's still my friend!!"

With that, she walked towards the movie room 7, and I had no choice but to follow. We did enjoy the movie though, even though I could tell she was distracted. As we exited the movie theater, we saw Amy and chase again, and I saw Elia turn away with a blank expression.

She was silent the whole car ride, almost crashing into another car once; she was that distracted. She dropped me off at my house, not bothering to say goodbye, but I saw a small hint of determination in her eyes as she looked at her phone, then she drove off.

Elia's POV.

I know I kind of ruined the movie for Jackie, but I couldn't help it. I was just too distracted; the image of Amy kissing Chase just wouldn't leave my head. I was having an internal battle with my self. I didn't know if I should tell Luke, in fear that he wouldn't believe me.

'At least you would've warned him. When he finds out the truth, he can't say you didn't tell him so...' My inner self said.
