Two days later...
Jackie's POV
"Ugh, why can't school just end already?!" I groaned, laying my head on my arms. Elia giggled next to me and, knowing her, shook her head.
"Hehe, I know, right? I can't wait for summer to start." She said, furiously writing down the Calculus notes that we are never going to use in our entire lives. I raised my head, looking at her curiously.
"Why are you so excited for summer? Usually you're all like, "No! Why does my precious education time have to end so suddenly?! I wish school could last forever!" not "Oh, please, make it stop!!" Like me."
She looked at me, then at the teacher to make sure he wasn't watching, then back at me.
"Didn't Micheal tell you?" She asked, smiling confusedly. I narrowed my eyes, shaking my head. "Well, Ashton told me that on the last day of school, they are going to host a Summer Vacation party and he invited us to go. He said Micheal should have told you."
I frowned. "Well, he didn't. But why would you want to go? You hate high school parties."
She blushed, smiling sheepishly. "Well, I thought that I would like to go to at least one, to see what all the fuss was about. And, I might meet someone there."
I rolled my eyes. "You slut. I'm not going with you."
"Aww, why? You should go and have fun. You might even meet someone new!"
I scoffed. "The only people I'm going to meet that night are Sam and Dean because I'm staying home."
She pouted, giving me her useless puppy dog eyes. "Jackie."
I ignored her, choosing to go back to looking at my phone in secret. I could still feel eyes on me and I smirked.
"Jackie, come on!!"
I placed one earphone in, my gaze locked on my phone.
"Jackie!"
"You're making it worse, Elia."
"I'm pretty sure she can't make this worse, Miss Garcia." I froze, looking up slowly with wide eyes. Our math teacher was leaning against Elia's desk, facing me. Elia was leaning around him, looking at me with wide eyes. I glared at her, and she grimaced.
"Um..."
He glared at me, extending his hand towards me. I glared, but gave him my phone anyway. He walked away, leaving everyone staring at me. I flipped him off behind his back and Elia pursed her lips.
I glared at her, making her look at me with a sheepish expression on her face. She just shrugged, giving me a signal that said, "I tried to warn you."
I gave her the bird, too.

I am exhausted!! Why the hell do we have to have tests at the end of the semester that tests us on things we learned at the beginning of the year?! Besides, it's not like an employer is going to ask me what the mitochondria does!
I sighed and sat down at our usual table. Elia had come back to sit with Micheal, Ashton, Calum, and me and simply chose to ignore Luke, who had decided to listen to his brain for once and sit at another table. Unfortunately for him, that meant that he had no one to protect him from his fangirls. Amy had gotten her schedule changed by the counselors, so she had lunch fourth period.
I noticed Elia asking me a question and pulled one of my earphones out.
"What?"
"How was the test?"
"I probably failed."
"Not me. I know I passed, but I might get an 80 on my math. I hate math."
I rolled my eyes at her nerdiness. It still amused me how Elia could get so sad about not getting at least a 95 on any subject, but I shouldn't be complaining. All my other friends are nerds, too.
Speaking of them, I went over and hugged my wife, not noticing Elia's little eye roll as she saw them working on homework and essays. Elia was a nerd, but it was more of a natural nerd. She got good grades and passed tests even without studying, but she was just too much of a procrastinator to do her homework at any moment besides last minute. That's pretty much her biggest flaw.
After catching up with the girls, I went back to my table to see the one thing I hated the most: Elia laughing at something on her phone, both earphones in her ears. Calum was trying to talk to her, but she kept glancing down at her screen. He gave up after a while and just turned to talk to Micheal and Ashton, leaving Elia to her Harry Potter smut. Ugh!
"Will you stop reading that smut already?!" I scolded, unplugging her earphones and taking her phone from her, placing it out of her reach.
"Hey! It's not smut, Jackie! It's a pretty good fanfiction with a good story line!" She whined, jumping up and trying to reach her phone. She giggled nervously and looked up at me, giving me her useless puppy dog eyes. "Jackie, come on! Give it back, and I promise I won't look at it until we leave."
"Nope. You are going to sit there quietly and socialize with us instead of reading your smut, fugly."
"I'm not fugly, bitch." She pouted.
"Sure you're not, fugly."
"Ugh! I hate you!" She cried, plopping down in her chair and glaring. She crossed her arms and pouted, glaring at the table.
"I love you too, bitch." I said, sitting down and putting her phone in my back pocket where she couldn't get it.
I could see her glancing at it and I rolled my eyes. She is so not sneaky. No wonder she's a Gryffindor. Ha!I glared at her and she glared back, keeping my gaze for about ten seconds before blinking and turning to Calum with a huff. I smirked and turned to listen to Ashton's rant about his math teacher being a bitch and giving them a summer project because he has absolutely no life. I nodded, knowing exactly what he was talking about. All my teachers are bitches.
While listening to him, I caught Calum's conversation with Elia.
Calum-- "So...Why'd she take your phone away?"
Elia-- "Cause she's a bitch who hates Harry Potter."
Calum-- "You were reading Harry Potter?"
Elia-- "Harry Potter fanfictions. She calls them smut, but not every fanfiction is just smut, you know. It's also fluffy, or normal, meaning it sounds like the actual story. It's usually AU, and usually Severus is adopting Harry in these fanfictions. I love SEVERUS!!"
Calum-- "...Who's Severus?"
I flinched. I hate Harry Potter, but even I know never to ask that type of question. Elia gasped loudly, gaping at Calum. She opened her mouth to lecture him when someone else beat her to the punch.
"YOU STILL DON'T KNOW WHO SEVERUS IS?!!!"
We all turned to see Luke standing close by with his lunch plate in his hands, looking at Calum with an annoyed expression on his face. Elia frowned, and I could see her internal conflict: walk away from her ex-best friend, or stay and lecture Calum?
She turned and glared at Calum with that glint in her eyes and I groaned. I immediately put my earphones on and looked back at Micheal and Ashton. They too had put their earphones on and we gave each other knowing looks. We turned to watch Calum's misery, all of us amused as Luke sat down next to Elia and they both tag teamed in lecturing Calum about Harry Potter and its characters.
Thank God I didn't speak up. I don't know much about Harry Potter, and the little I do know isn't enough to keep a conversation with Elia. I heard a squeal and turned to see, not Elia, but Luke squealing like a little girl.
Soon, they stopped badgering Calum and started fangirling about Harry Potter and ranting about what was wrong with the movies. It was like everything was back to normal with them, and they acted like they hadn't fought at all. I rolled my eyes. She never stays mad at anyone.
I held out my hand to Ashton and he sighed as he pulled out his wallet and handed me a five dollar bill as I smirked. Good thing she's so predictable. Haha.
