This is the last time I’m doing a major time skip guys. I’m sorry, for this one guys.
(Time Skip about a month)
James and I were sitting in my room packing my large suitcase. In the morning I was headed off to Canada for five days. It would be the longest time I’d been away from my family, and definitely the longest time I’d been away from James. I was a little worried that I would get homesick, but I was also ready for the amazing adventure I was about to take. I would be spending for nights with a host family, go to school with their daughter, and go to a couple other places.
“How many pairs of jeans do you need?” James asked looking through the pile of pants we’d set out.
“I’m not brining all these silly, theres like twenty pairs here! I only need about six.” I said walking across my room to the bed.
I grabbed my JC-JQ jeans that had a whole down each side of the leg. The whole went from about the middle of my upper leg to the middle of my bottom leg. But it wasn’t just two big wholes, it was covered over by at least a hundred strings on each side so you could barely see my legs anyways. I then grabbed my green plaid skinny jeans, my white ones, and then two pairs of regular jeans. I also threw in my bag one of his shirts, his sweatshirt, a white tee, a black tee, and a grey one.
“Uhm babe I don’t think all this is going to fit. Especially if you’re bringing outdoor things and your blanket. Why are you bringing that thing anyways?” I asked talking about my eagle blanket.
“I could slap you right now.” I mumbled through clenched teeth. I then continued with “You know how important that blanket is to me.”
It was extremely important to me. I was a strong girl, and told everyone I could look after myself. It was the truth, but since we got rid of my dog that blanket was the only portable thing I had left to remember him by. It was kind of like my security blanket, it can’t go away for more than one night without brining it. I must have looked upset because at that moment he wrapped his arms around me and started apologizing.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that. I know its very important to you, and I don’t want to see you upset.”
“It’s fine. I shouldn’t get mad over that.” I said turning to put the blanket in the suitcase. After that I put the rest of my clothes in, and easily slipped in my two bears he’d given me.
“I can’t forget those!” I said smiling and then reached in to squeeze the talking one.
“GOOOOOOO GATORS!” The tiny bear roared. I was surprised something that small could be that loud. I then zipped up my suitcase with ease, and looked to see a surprised looking James. I then put the suitcase on my floor and threw the rest of the clothes in a clean basket and put it in the corner.
“Told you I could get that!” I said smirking.
“I guess you did.” He said smiling. “So I have a question well its more like a request.”
“Ok, what?” I asked him curious.
“You know that thing where they kiss each other’s cheeks and stuff?” He began.
“Oh you mean this?” I then kissed one of his cheeks and then the other.
“Yes that, please don’t do that to any cute boys.” He said looking down at me.
I pretended to pout and be all sad but then quickly got an idea.
“Does that mean I can’t do this either?” I asked and then quickly pecked his lips.
“No.”
“Ok what about this?” I asked going back once again and kissing his lips a little more passionately.
He seemed to like this and put his arms around my waste. I put my arms around his neck and went deeper into this kiss. After a few minutes he pulled away a little out of breath.
“No definitely none of that!” He said smiling still a little breathless.
“Fine none of that either.” I pouted again.
“If you wan’t to do that, wait till you come back here. I’ll do that with you.”
“Why wait? There’s always right now.” I said winking. I then wrapped my arms around his neck and once again began to kiss him.
I woke up at six to my alarm clock doing its normal beeping routine. I shut if off and stood up heading to the bathroom. I turned on the light and put my contacts in. Then brushed my teeth with my special toothbrush. Oh yeah I forgot to mention, I got braces the ninth! So that means I’ve had them about a week since its sixteenth. Anyways! After brushing my teeth I headed back to my bedroom walking through the living room. Suddenly something shot out and grabbed my leg. I almost screamed until I realized it was James. I had forgotten he was still here. I bent down to quickly kiss him and then he opened up the covers. I climbed in and cuddled to him for a little bit to stay warm. After about ten minutes I looked to him and nodded to my room. We got up and headed for there.
“I need your help! I don’t know what to wear!” I whispered to him.
“Don’t worry we’ll find something.” He whispered back,
And we did, I found a pair of american eagle jeans that I’d cut up along with my blue tee-shirt. I then kicked him out of my room so I could change. Ten minutes later I opened the door and allowed him to come back in. I did my make up, threw on my element sweatshirt and I headed out the door to wait with him for the bus. I was getting a ride since I had two suitcases and didn’t feel like bringing them on so Carol could yell at me. I then saw the bus coming.
“Bye Vanna I love you!” I said hugging my sister. “Bye babe see you soon.”
I walked away and went back inside. Eventually my ride got there and I got in and left. The ride to school was rather short, and when I got there James greeted me with a smile. He helped me bring my bags into the lobby and then walked me to my first class.
All of a sudden across the speakers I heard “Could all students attending the Quebec - Maine exchange please come to the lobby.” My heart started racing and I quickly left the room. I saw James coming out of the bathroom and asked him to walk me down. He did and then he had to go back to his class.
“Hey you ready for this?” My friend Winter asked walking up to me.
“Hell yes! I’m excited!” I replied bouncing on the balls of my feet.
With that we headed to the coach bus and loaded our bags. Soon enough we were on the bus headed to Skowhegan to pick up the other kids riding down with us.
This is it! I’m free for a little bit! I thought to myself and smiled.
